'And it turns out that after GNR he went to business school, appeared on PBS's Frontline to talk finance in the music industry and got into reading about Adam Smith (!). His new financial column will appear on Playboy.com, and he seems nothing if not completely earnest about his intentions: "Part of my mission statement...may be to perhaps try and'

I gave up after reading that blogtastic crap-ass almost-sentence.

That's pretty awesome.

I've seen him many times doing financial segments for various cable news shows. He's a pretty bright guy.

I've seen him many times on MTV when he was wasted and barely aware of where he was.

aurorous

I've seen him many times on MTV when he was wasted and barely aware of where he was.

So he's overqualified for the job!

Maybe next, Axl Rose can write a weekly article that will come out every 15 years or so...

Give the guy a chance---at least he didn't spend 15 years working on an album that everyone forgot about 3 days after it was released.

I read that Duff actually invested about $50k each in Starbuck's and Microsoft in or around 1989ish. I hear these days he's worth somewhere north of $100 million, including record royalties. Also, he can no longer drink, he will die very quickly.

He probably saw the road Steven Adler was going down and cleaned himself up before he got to that point. Good for him.

It was vodka and he put it away some time ago.

Drake21734: Steven Adler was going down

Steve went down that road long ago and went way way down it. And I don't think Duff was ever into cocaine as much as Steve was anyways.

Next week, Axl starts his relationship advice column in Cosmo.

It would be much easier to swallow your righteous indignation if your cited quote actually was one sentence like you wish it was, rather than the 2 sentences it is in actuality.
