That's sick, Jeff Buckley's been dead for years!

Oh, you mean his SONGS.
Well alright then.

On the plus side, we also can't see her sharp knees.

Sounds ok to me. Of course her hypno-tits were in my face, so I may have just robbed a bank and sent her the money for all I know.

Ms. Johansson,

I don't care what you do.

Sing, act, paint, write, whatever.

Just make with the good already.

Signed,

Shostie

Dear God! Sounds like we have the same musical tastes. Unfortunately, she has the celebrity pull to point it out to everyone. Why not just give him a shout out in an interview? I seriously doubt she can even come close to the range of his voice.

/But nice tits Scarlett.
//Seriously.

Extractorator 2009-01-28 09:53:34 PM
I actually really enjoy what she records. Her voice is husky, and throaty. She has great chest support.

I will farking KILL her if she touches JBs music!

/STFU and show your boobies.

Fark, you have let me down.

As I read the headline, the Buckley song that I first pictured her coming was "Last Goodbye"

When I saw in the article I'd got it right, I thought "sweet!"

...but WTF is up with this poor-woman's-Norah-Jones swill?!? Now, if she'd gone all Candlebox and totally grunge-balladed it, maybe replace the Randy-Newman-on-Nyquil piano part with some actual instruments, it might sound more like art and less like commercial pap aimed at a market segment that probably wants very little to do with the likes of Jeff Buckley. Honestly.

PattyMcG 2009-01-29 12:29:46 AM
uhhhh... I meant to say "covering" instead of the other word I used in the first line of my last post.

She should be covering Tim Buckley. The kid wasn't half the artist his old man was.

Indulgent, self aggrandising, budget wine bar style crap.

Lord Snoopy's G.P.E.H.: I hear she's going to release a few records as Scarlett Poindexter next.

I'm so bored at work that I just checked out "Poindexter" on Wikipedia (having been reminded of the cartoon character by Lord Snoopy's G.P.E.H above). Although he doesn't have his own page, he is described on the Felix The Cat page (new window), in a VERY strange "Characters" paragraph which seems to have been written by Yoda. Check out the entry on "Vavoom" in particular.

S'ok. It's better than Tim's version. I don't like his voice so much. Jeff Buckley was taken way too soon. He was amazing.

Remember when Kenny G covered Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World"? Same difference. New technology will be needed to gauge and measure teh suck.
