Despite being a big KISS fan I find it very amusing the lengths Gene will go to to make the PHAT $$

But I guess since he does indeed make the phat $$, I should learn instead of just heckling.

Actually, Bryan Adams co-wrote two of the heaviest songs Kiss ever recorded, "Rock and Roll Hell" and "War Machine".

The Canadian government has apologized for Bryan Adams on several occasions!

I love and respect that man. I would love to marry his daughter. The fact that she is turning out to be very attractive has nothing to do with it.

You know what other band is from Canada?

Someone once said that KISS isn't a band, it's a brand.

Canada has some great young indie bands. It's just the "famous" ones that suck.

That is probably a smart business move, Gene.

There are lots of upcoming (and already somewhat popular) Canadian bands.

I was a rabid Kiss fan. Then I turned 14.

He did discover Van Halen so he does have an eye for talent.

I too was a rabid Kiss fan, when I was 8 through 11. Then Dynasty came out and suddenly Kiss were no longer cool, they were crappy. They went downhill from there creatively speaking...still kaes a ton of dough but I guess it's like Dogbert says about collectibles..."You can out anything on a plate and morons will want to buy it."

For some reason I pictured Richard Simmons as I read the headline.

It's a truth universally acknowledged; Farkers hate Gene Simmons.

Well, that takes me back... They were always playing in Winnipeg years ago, but never really liked em'. Maybe it's because they butchered a Dylan song... Tweeter and the Monkeyman.

Canadian band I think should get more recognition lately, is Vancouver's Mother Mother. Not for everyone, but certainly a standout from last year. Mother Mother (new window)

I remember being 11 or 12 and waiting in front of KMart with my 7.33 in fist, anxious for them to open so I could get my hands on the latest KISS record - Dynasty. I booked home on my bike, ran upstairs and put it on. WTF is this? Next track, and the next. The other side. I felt used and dirty. I took the record outside and surfed it down the sidewalk by running up to it and sliding. Then I threw it in the air as high as I could and watched it shatter. I drew penises and swastikas and other childish crap all over the cover and I never bought another KISS record again.

The Destroyer tour was my first show. KISS was my band. And they went full disco retard because Gene thought he smelled money.

I did see them during their reunion tour in Atlanta, Columbus GA (Peter's drum tech had to play the show lol) and Chattanooga, By the time we saw them in Chattanooga, the wheels had come off the wagon, Ace couldn't stand and Paul couldn't sing. It was terrible. Five hardcore KISS fans walked out less than halfway through.
