This guy needs to be more than just impeached, he needs to be committed.

I am starting to be convinced that he actually believes his bullshiat.

This is the reason my dad voted commie last gubernatorial election.

He didn't even lose his karaoke rights over it at the old man bar he goes to.

Lionel Mandrake: This guy needs to be more than just impeached, he needs to be committed.

Actually, that's the plan.
If he can get away with an insanity claim, odds are good he wont see any jail time.

Q314 [TotalFark] 2009-01-25 09:26:32 PM
why bother with trials at all anymore?
after all, the news only tells the truth,
and the news says he's guilty.
must be guilty.

by calling the senate proceedings fixed and unfair,
he is admitting that he didn't care to
fix the process until it involved himself.

rod's likely looking for a reason not to bury
the entire lot of chicago politicians, which would
include Herr Presidente.

Magorn 2009-01-25 09:29:21 PM
wow apparently his own private "el" system has a stop in Crazytown

He is really starting to lose it (and no I don't think this is him laying the foundation of an insanity defense. To prevail with one of those you have to show that you are literally incapable of telling right from wrong when you committed the act. Or in layman's terms that you basically would have done the exact same thing if you knew a cop was standing behind you when you did it)

On the bright side, Jack Ryan can show his face again as he's clearly lost the title of Illinois Most Embarassing Politician. Hell, I think he'd beat Blago in a landslide if a special election for governor were called tomorrow.

I thought it was a poem. A poem with structure as lame as its content.

I hope that Blago is making the case for his innocence to nobody the poor cop that has to guard his house up in Ravenswood by the end of the week. It's like watching a train wreck.

It truly is disgusting. He is playing the victim card almost as well as any righty ever born. Tom DeLay bows to his expertise.

I'm a Democrat. He seems guilty. And crazy. He should definitely not be the governor. Hell, I don;t think he should be the mayor of Wasilla, Alaska.

I have a killer idea for a sitcom:

Rod Blagojevich is a kleptomaniac. When he gets caught stealing, he accuses the store owners of framing him and using it as a plot to raise prices or something. His roommate, and his lawyer, is Baghdad Bob, who defends him simply by making ridiculous claims of his innocence.

\We'll call it "Been Caught Stealing"
\\Jane's Addiction can do the theme song

You may be right. I don't know if Fark greenlit this, but I saw on Rachel Maddow's show where he was comparing himself to a cowboy in the old west, and went on with the analogy for several minutes. I thought to myself then that the dude must have some mental issues. Or, he knows he's going to get kicked out, so he's just thinking "fark it, I'm just going to fark with the press from now on."

TheSelphie 2009-01-25 09:52:23 PM
The more I hear about this guy, especially this, the more it makes me think they shouldn't jail him. No, he needs to go to a hardcore mental institution.

Because people get due process, and because the last thing you want in fair proceedings is for everyone to be exhausted and rushing things to try to finish fast. The prosecution and defense get time to prepare their cases, present their evidence, and have it fairly weighed.

Lenny_da_Hog 2009-01-25 09:55:35 PM
He also wants Ted Stevens -- as in, recently corruption-convicted, former Senator-for-life Ted Stevens -- to testify for his character.

Might as well have Duke Cunningham put in a good word for him as well....

OJ's was a state trial, the Feds, who Blago will face, don't fark around. They won't let it become like the OJ trial. Now if any civil proceedings start up, ohh boy that'll be entertaining.

Oh and you know the Republicans are watching this with glee. Blagojevich will be the Albatross they will attempt to use to hang around the Democrats neck. Because God forbid they actually try make a comeback with Ideas and anything that doesn't make the Crazy parts of their party happy. Instead of talking about lowering taxes and using Bonds to finance stuff. All you are going to hear about in 2010 is Blago Blago Blago.
