That does seem a bit excessive, I mean, 100, sure, 200, maybe, but 300.

Give the guy a break!

Mexico has lost it. All these refugees need to go home and fix their country. It's complete lawless chaos down there, vigilante justice in Juarez and other places. There's a very real problem on that border.

Arm the Mexicans to the teeth and give them as much ammo as they can handle. then they can take their government back from the aristocrats who own it.
Mexico has some of the strictest gun laws in the world. that is the problem.

That would work. Pack'em up, everything they can carry. BTW, those "aristocrats" are the "blue eyed" descendants of the Spanish. The people that come to America are the persecuted dark haired descendants of the indigenous people. They really do need to take their country back and make a home for themselves. It's horribly racist down there.

There is almost a civil war, something like 5000 dead from this so called drug war last year alone.

Ummm... the people who were dissolved were rival drug dealers. If dissolving 300 doesn't end the drug problem, what makes you think a bullet will. They are having, essentially, a civil war down there, and it's spilling over the border. Time to end the drug war.

You must be insane. Why do you think they're HERE? Would YOU want to go back and "fix that country" for anything less than $10K a minute, even if you were allowed to use nuclear weapons?

Hey, that's not a half-bad idea. Warm up some tactical nukes and some FAE's and wipe out those border cartels.

My friend works in a kitchen with a lot of Mexican and Guatemalan immigrants. The Mexicans look down on the Guatemalans even worse than some Americans look down on Mexicans. The irony is that the Guatemalans are much better learned and work harder than the Mexicans.

How does one say resomation in spanish?
Resomation is a specific patent pending alkaline hydrolysis process for the disposal of human remains, which is claimed by its creators to be much more ecologically favourable than cremation.

Cemeteries are single use landfills.

First off, most countries that the us has "armed" end up far worse off than the were before we stepped in. Secondly this wouldn't even be an issue if Americans didn't have a dependence on illegal drugs.

It only takes like a 55 gallon drum of acid do dissolve a body(or at least thats what the british serial killer used) but it takes like weeks to dissolve a body. He ended up getting caught because he started dumping too soon when there was little chunks left.

My point. But lots of people here don't have the kind of firepower the cartels have got. You're talking about guys with lakes of acid. However, I'm sure up for loaning, say, La Eme plenty of equipment and safe passage to the border and promising to kill them all if they ever come back.

The rest of Mexico could care less about anything that happens roughly north of Zacatecas. Unless this stuff starts happening in places like Puebla or Guanajuato, nobody is going to care.

I remember reading about that - they found him out because the "chunks" were clogging the drains to his apartment building and stinking the place up. It's what made me wonder whether you really could dissolve a body completely in the amount of acid you could reasonably keep in a house. As if 55 gallon vats are reasonable.

Is it dinner time?

Uh huh..tru dat. We, as a nation, are looking at this whole situation all wrong. We need to stoke up 20 million Mexican Nationals to go get their country back and make it like they like it..more like why they are here. These people are generally good people but they ARE refugees, not immigrants. They need to get their own country back and we can party again..OLE!!

How about some tangentially-related quotes?

Xerxes: There will be no glory in your sacrifice. I will erase even the memory of Sparta from the histories! Every piece of Greek parchment shall be burned. Every Greek historian, and every scribe shall have their eyes pulled out, and their tongues cut from their mouths. Why, uttering the very name of Sparta, or Leonidas, will be punishable by death! The world will never know you existed at all!
...
Dilios: Immortals... we put their name to the test.
...
Daxos: There can be no victory here. Why do you smile?
...
Daxos: Glory? Have you gone mad? There is no glory to be had now! Only retreat, or surrender or death!
...
Spartan King Leonidas: Spartans! Ready your breakfast and eat hearty... For tonight, we dine in hell!

What does the chemical contingent have to say. What reagents would you recommend, aqua regia? HF? HCl? H2SO4? HNO3? An organic acid perhaps? What do you say to an alkali presoak? Lye maybe, or HOOH? What of vapor issues?

I had a chemistry teacher who recommended using biology rather then chemistry when producing my drox. He maintained this was the better way due to the greater availability of source materials. How does this method compare to my good ol' compost heap?

HF is a weak acid. I'd go with the diprotic H2SO4. Maybe HCL. I don't know what an alkali pre-soak would do.

I call shenanigans on this. The Mexican drug lords have been pretty proud of their killings....dumping the bodies where they would be found easily. Why would they need to dispose of the bodies in acid?

Sylvia_Bandersnatch 2009-01-24 09:02:19 PM
Acid? I could have sworn that other reports I heard said caustic soda. Very different materials. Sodium hydroxide would make more sense to me. It's cheap and easily available, in solid form easily made into liquid. Where does someone get barrels of acid?
