this is crazy! the guitarist Cyral Sulack used to play in a band with my dad in the 70's. that band was not as sporty. Cryal now plays in a cover band doing fairs and weddings in the cleveland area. HOLY CRAP This brings back memories. This was a big deal and i remember watching them on Solid Gold.

Man, the All Sports Band been floating around the internet lately. The song actually isn't that bad--to me it sounds like the Cars--but they were the sports version of the Village People (I think it was said somewhere that the bassist/football player really played on VP records).

Scoff all you want - one reason behind the sports attire was they got paid by the manufacturers of the sports equipment to use their brand. If I'm not mistaken they actually made it on American Bandstand also.
