Accidentally read that as "Feces reunion."

They tried to have a feces reunion, but they couldn't get their shiat together.

LOL. They probably need some of this:

Yep. Some of the most underrated rock ever.

One of the all time, great underreated bands.

It's kinda sad that their stuff never sounded quite as good as
'Gasoline Alley' and 'Every Picture...' considering it was all recorded in the same time period.

Quit trying to go back.

And most of you probably consider yourselves 'progressives'.

HA!

The Faces were an awesome, awesome band that no one seems to ever give props to.

But there's no need for a reunion -- Rod had one of the greatest voices ever for rock'n'roll, but that was a long time ago, and he ain't got that voice no more.

Hence why he's wisely sticking to crooning ballads these days.

And the fact is, Rod can sell more tickets on his own than under the banner of the Faces. Everyone knows who Rod Stewart is. The Faces, not so much.

Yes. I laughed out loud on that. Well played, sir.

Well, that's a disappointment, but it wouldn't be a true reunion without Plonk.

If there isn't a bar onstage than I don't wanna see them.

I do NOT intend to attempt to turn this into another White Stripes bash thread but:

Jack White owes a lot to Faces era Ron Wood.

A whole LOT.

Don't want to see what is left of The Faces get back together again. They were known for drinking on stage, trashing hotel rooms at night, and none of em' are that anymore. Young, anything goes mayhem according to Wood in his book from a few years back.

Rod's voice is going, Ron's battling alcoholism, trying to control his finances, and though I think he's one of the best guitarists out there, can only imagine he can't play as well anymore.

This is as close as it will get:
1993 Stewart Unplugged (new window)

There was a tribute for Stewart a few years back now, where Ron played his old guitar (That still goes out on RS tours) with Rod on stage, playing a shortened version of Stay With Me, but certainly packed a punch.

Underrated band, before my time, but I still enjoy cranking up their records.

I love "every picture tells a story". great album. easily as good as anything the Stones released around the same time.
[yup i love "sticky fingers" and "exile" too.]

the faces were sloppy live tho. but a good kind of sloppy. they just had a good time and it was infectious, it suited them.

/ i heard "infatuation" on the radio at a restaurant and i almost vomited in my drink. yuck.

// "blondes have more fun" and "atlantic crossing" and even "smiler" are underrated, IMHO.
