Might one assume he killed to earn his living, and to help out the Congolese?

It would be in his best interests to avoid individuals named Van Owen.

Haha.

But for real. Congo is a nasty nasty nasty conflict. We're talking about as much as 10 million dead since the conflict started some decade ago. It's one of the ugliest imagineable.

I understand that it's the Democratic Republic of Congo, but if you label it Dr. Congo on the maps, people will misunderstand, and the Justice League will have to invade.

kiershar 2009-01-23 01:28:29 PM
This is very sad news. This man was a well-educated and very intelligent leader, and he was defending his people against the other genocidal tribe.

All he wanted is a strong country where his people could live in peace and order. Its horrible that the media call them "rebels" when they are actually taking up arms to defend themselves from the raping and murdering animals.

kiershar 2009-01-23 01:38:25 PM
QFA : Congolese Information Minister Lambert Mende Omalanga, told the BBC he welcomed the arrest.

"I think it is a good achievement for peace and security in this area and this region of Great Lakes," he said.

Oh what an achievement for peace. 10 bucks say hutu resume the genocide against the tutsi.

Q. Some people call this a war for minerals.

N. How can you fight for your own minerals? [Laughter] If this were about minerals, I would not be here.
You see minerals are being exploited by China, by Belgium, by South Africa. Petrol is under French control, uranium under American control, copper under Belgium, diamonds under Jewish, and gold under South African control.
