That wasn't his first boss. His first job was at an ice cream shop. Now, if a rat ran up his leg at the ice cream shop...I don't think I'd want to eat at that place.

Yeah. This was a law firm.

Which probably explains why he was so calm during the presentation. He was staring at a whole room of rats.

No kidding. If only Obama had defended the right of creditors to refuse to lend to people simply on the basis of their skin color, the economy would be great.

Wait, scratch that. The actual problem is that taxes on rich people are too high. If taxes had been lower, the economy never would have fallen. Therefore, tax cuts and only tax cuts can save us.

No the other side. He represented the people who willingly ran up their credit card bills and took loans they could never possibly afford.

Also, don't blame the lenders, blame the loan officers. They often times worked for seperate companies.

I challenge you to find a single thing Obama has ever been on the wrong side of. You don't get to be the first black President by being wrong. You get to be the first black President by being so right about everything that people no longer have an option to ignore you. There has never, in the history of our nation, been a person more right on everything than Obama is now.

President Obama endorses reinstatement of the entirely unreasonable and irrational "assault weapons ban". He also supports closing a "gun show loophole", which is actually a fiction invented by proponents of unreasonable firearms control; advocating action upon an entirely fictional premise is itself irrational.

Your reaching buddy.

Redlining is arbitrarily denying credit due to colour and neighbourhood using a pre agreed upon map. Even if you are financially able to afford health insurance you are denied because of where you sit on the map.

Under redlining, if I was ethnic, owned a house in Compton yet was able to afford insurance I could still be denied insurance or a loan due to the neighbourhood.

That's just a sample of things to come. He probably knows about a half dozen terrorists plots in the country right now and is just sitting there cool and collected doing nothing about it. That's what you get libs for electing someone weak on defense.

Wow, I had no idea it was such a conspiracy (or that black people were so bad with credit).

Also, don't blame the lenders, blame the loan officers. They often times worked for seperate companies.

In any case, bad loans with fraudulent applications were offered knowingly and then that debt was sold to other entities. You might have had ignorant borrowers, but on the other hand, you had evil lenders.

Nice to see the bigots come out in force...

http://www.mcclatchydc.com/economics/story/53802.html

Subprime lending offered high-cost loans to the weakest borrowers during the housing boom that lasted from 2001 to 2007. Subprime lending was at its height from 2004 to 2006.

Federal Reserve Board data show that:

* More than 84 percent of the subprime mortgages in 2006 were issued by private lending institutions.

* Private firms made nearly 83 percent of the subprime loans to low- and moderate-income borrowers that year.

* Only one of the top 25 subprime lenders in 2006 was directly subject to the housing law that's being lambasted by conservative critics.

The "turmoil in financial markets clearly was triggered by a dramatic weakening of underwriting standards for U.S. subprime mortgages, beginning in late 2004 and extending into 2007," the President's Working Group on Financial Markets reported Friday.

I would argue that a troll can't be ambiguous without diluting the trollness to something that's not even trolly. There is an inverse relationship between ambiguity and troll.

Kinda, yeah. That's what Federal laws are for. The majority of the citizens of the state of Georgia might not have a problem with re-instating slavery, but our Federal laws prevent it. The state of California might have enough anti-gun citizens living there to vote for enacting laws preventing any ownership of guns, but our Federal laws prevent it.
