The woman told police he also pulled her hair.

That just means he has a crush on her.

And that was just going too far.

Anybody that has been married for a decent amount of time knows the correct answer is to agree that she is right and then do what you originally planned to do anyway... my wife likes to refer to it as "spousal deafness".

As some comedian once said, "Women don't want to hear your opinion, they just want to hear their opinion in a lower voice."

Chasing her around with a chainsaw doesn't do anybody any good...

Chainsaw sounds about as productive as trying to make a woman listen to logic and reason.

Me too. I missed it the first time though because I was expecting the bit from the movie where he's naked and covered in blood.

what they don't tell you is that all of those choices will end up in splitting up.

FunkOut [TotalFark] 2009-01-18 03:40:38 PM
You should never run with a chainsaw. You could trip and disembowel yourself and end up holding your innards in with a mixing bowl while driving yourself to the hospital like one of my parents' old neighbours did. Although he was waving around a circular saw but you get the picture.

Hey, I'll give back the snow blower in April, when I borrow the lawn mower until October. Same as every year.

Depends. Is the argument about how much fun it is to chase or be chased by someone with a chainsaw?

All I have is an electric chainsaw. So the chase would be pretty short.

For some reason that reminded me of that gas powered marital-aid bit from Naked Gun / Police Squad, alas there seems to be no visual record of that scene on the tubes at the moment.

You know, the chainsaw might be an option if you were outside. But it'll stink up a house in no time.

If you're inside when the dispute begins, then I recommend what has gotten me through 43 years of marriage: "Yes, m'love. I'm sorry."

Any healthy adult can start a 2 cycle engine, if you know the protocol that particular engine is partial to. The key is not the strength of the pull, it's the speed of the pull.

/this works in other applications, as well.

I just learned the correct response to my ex wife for "I don't need to be lectured on this"

My response
"Well you are sitting in my house so it's ok, I get to do that if I want to."

She left

Why couldn't I have been this smart before?

Chainsaws are much like shotguns in that there are very few situations that can't be helped with one.
