All the Young Dudes?

Not so much.

Well Billy rapped all night about his E.D.
How he ordered the Viagra off his new TV
Mid-age jive don't want to stay alive
When you're fifty-five
And Wendy's shuffling kids in her mini-van
And Freddy's hiding liver spots with some spray on tan
Funky little man
Television man is crazy saying we're outdated wrecks
Oh man, did you catch the VH-1 special about T-rex
Oh brother you guessed
I'm a dad, dude
All the old dudes (hey dudes)
Watching Fox news (where are ya)
All you old dudes (stand up come on)
Watching Fox news
All the old dudes (I want to hear you)

I saw Ian Hunter in the 80's a few times...when he was pushing 50...and he still kicked ass.

As a side note, Ian Hunter turns 70 this year.

Unless they sang a song named "Legendary" I am going to call bullshiat on that adjective, submitter.

They need to have a band called "Queen" open for them.

/I hope it is down in the city

If I had shoes that looked like that, I'd toss them out.

Gawd, I hate the NME, that shiatty bird cage liner. So, you prats, who's going to be in the band for these (Saturday) Gigs? Why, thank you Rolling Stone:

The concerts mark the first time the original lineup - singer Ian Hunter, guitarist Mick Ralphs, organist Verden Allen, drummer Dale Griffin and bassist Overend Watts - has performed together in 35 years.

Love the albums Mott and The Hoople and Saturday Gigs is a great single.

/Never had platform boots

I heard All the Way from Memphis by them on the radio yesterday, part of the decade of the '70s week. It had to be one of the worst songs I've ever heard, ever.

/glad they were never really popular

These guys are under-rated and basically forgotten.

Good stuff, though.

Hunter's solo material is good, too.

See, that's a home run right there. That's what that is.

I once was looking through the discount rack of cds at a rural Canadian Walmart and there was the complete catalogue of Mott the Hoople and Big Audio Dynamite. Very strange.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you there...

"Forgot my six string razor... and hit the sky"

Love that band. Love to see them with Mick Ralphs. It's just your basic boo-gee-woo-gee but I likes it.

Hopefully tho Ian won't sing "spade".

Oh this is awesome, Mott the Hoople was an awesome band, sad that now they're pretty much forgotten. Same goes for T-Rex.

No, as Charles Barkley would say, "Thas jus turrible." The cheesiest song by a serious rock band I've heard.

Have a number of live Hunter albums, very good stuff.

Big Bolan fan. Electric Warrior is one of my favourite albums; not just for the music, but for the title and cover art as well.

If that's one of the worst songs you've ever heard, you haven't listened to enough music. And I'll leave it at that.

i really like parts of "electric warrior", tho some of it does nothing for me.

i'm more of a "slider" guy. but not by much.

/ i never never never kissed a car before, it was like a door.

/// some of the weirdest pop lyrics ever, that Bolan wrote.

Some of that has to do with Bolan being dead, I'd wager.

/also more of a Slider guy
