To be fair, HRC and then the GOP were first and second in trying to copy his imagery and branding

It's way beyond a stretch. Looks more like somebody had an article they wanted to write and went out looking for things that can be construed to support the premise.

It's not even that, it's like they were reaching for a supporting argument that premise support article!

Looks like somebody had to justify a paycheck.

We've actually got ads running over the radio for a local KIA dealer that use a horrible imitation of Obama.

They've got a history of using bad imitations of presidents, but the others tried to inject some humor revolving around one scandal or another. This one is just sad and pointless.

Just did a Google on Obama KIA Ad and see that it's being done across the nation by KIA dealers... (different ads, same premise)

Can't they wait until he actually does something worth joking about before running with this crappy campaign? Right now it's just campaign parody, and it's getting on my nerves. The best thing about this time of year is the END of the campaigns.

Dammit.

You wouldn't think that if you saw their ads on the DC Metro.

Imagine a big hanging sign with HOPE on it, with the Pepsi logo as the O. Couple others just like it. I thought it was some kind of inauguration thing at first.

Nitpicking - the article says the pecans are nonpartisan when the picture right next to it shows the label saying bi-partisan pecans. I'm at work or else I'd post a picture.

So ... are all third party pecans tossed?

I imagine they could. But I don't bother requesting. I feel that makes me look like more of a tool. I posted the Weeners before the mods had even looked at the link. If they wanted to fix it, they would have already.

I, for one, have been enjoying the extra $500+ a month I've been making for the past 3 months selling BO stuff online. What a great world we live in, a great, great, great, great world.

I'd actually already thought the same thing about the Pepsi logo, so I don't think it's a stretch at all.

Interestingly, the logo is slightly different in thickness / orientation of stripe between different "flavors" of Pepsi - I drink Pepsi One, and was IMMEDIATELY struck by how "Obama logo"-like it looked after the rebrand.
