While I appreciate in a sort of Schadenfreuden fashion someone calling this idiotic domestic abuser and white power loving asshat out on his amazing lack of depth of anything but opportunistic teat sucking, there is also the piece of me that realizes that he is essentially a tar baby. Any attack on him is just fodder for the Freepers and their ilk and fellow travelers to cry out against the "Liberal" media.

This lowbrow, serial lying, racist beater is a champion for other lowbrow idiots who haven't got a clue, but feel threatened when someone suggests that their heroes may NOT have their own interests at heart. And what's sad, is that these miserable and malformed intellects have been so abused themselves by intellectually disingenuous asshats--who've used their malleable and unformed political leanings to forge a plank in the GOP that is impervious to logic or sense, and sees only ideology, and can't actually parse the policies that they endorse, save as a sort of Rah Rah mentality that thinks that politics is a sort of game that is winnable.

That these malformed and mouth-breathing idiots are in my own party is a source of great shame, and more so, because a leadership arose that capitalized on these same mouth-breathers and used them to drum up support for policies that were not just detrimental to these same mouth-breathers who have been far too blinded by partisan rhetoric to actually parse what these policies could actually lead to, but use them to intimidate and overshadow those of us who have seen the idiocy of harnessing the Enthusiastic Moron factor and pandering to their limited intelligence.

What's most asinine about this whole thing is that the guy is even getting any attention at all (new window).

I haven't watched any "conservative" coverage of this because I consider it a waste of my brain cells, but I can just imagine they're parading this guy all over the place as some sort of heroic example of what we should be seeing from our media.

I'm glad people are putting Joe the Plumber in his place, but we could be doing a better job at it.

Stop making fun of the fact that his name isn't actually Joe. Joe is, after all, his middle name. People are allowed to be called by their middle name. My dad did that, partially because he shared his first name with his dad and wanted to distinguish himself. Besides, "Rick Sanchez," I don't see anyone making a big deal out of the fact that you were born Ricardo Sánchez. Nobody makes fun of the fact that "Jon Stewart" is actually Stuart Leibowitz. People can have media names. Get over it.

You don't need to bring out the fact that he isn't a licensed plumber. We get it. He wasn't licensed. He was technically some form of plumber's assistant. That shiat is more mundane than most people consider. It's not like being an unlicensed doctor or lawyer. Frankly I think whether or not he "plumbed" is more indicative of his status as a plumber than whether or not he had a piece of paper saying he did. Besides, most of the "Joe the Plumber" mantra was brought out by McCain and the media. If he isn't pimping himself out as a plumber, then he doesn't deserve to be called out on it. If he just calls himself Joe Wurzlgarble, or whatever, then he's not claiming to be something he's not. Furthermore, these days, he's not a plumber. He's Joe the media whore.

For that matter, don't bother spending too much time on the fact that he's a media whore. The media is composed entirely of whores, whore lovers, and whores who love whores. CNN is an intellectual Spice Channel.

DO make fun of the fact that he's an idiot. Rehash his opinions endlessly. Put a glaring spotlight on his 85 IQ.
