...oh, wait

/i fails @ fark :(

I don't see it as an epic fail when the postum primus links a bundle of Bowie song titles together. Someone's doing that for the Gaza Strip affair over in politics with Dire Straits songs, for gods sakes. It's not clever. However, the whole concept of Bowie, being the unknowing pangenitor of this global crisis that lead to this depression, surely makes "The man who sold the world" the only Bowie track you need to quote to make it relevant. Or should I quote something from the Labyrinth soundtrack ("Underground" works pretty well for most western nations right now I guess, Daddy Daddy, Get me out of here. I'm underground).

One of Britain's leading economic pundits asks: Is David Bowie to blame for the credit crunch?

By Evan Davis

Fail. The article doesn't ever mention who the "leading British economic pundit" is.

The article was written by the pundit ("By Evan Davis") and the editors must have added" "leading British economic pundit" to the article headine... there's a big picture of him down the page that says, "Economic pundit Evan Davis".

I had no trouble getting a new car loan at a nice 7% fixed. Shopped around and found various willing and able financial institutions ready to lend. The media needs to stop blowing this "credit crunch" bull shiat out of proportion.

Iraq was getting better and there was an election. Plus McCain was leading! Of course the media had to act and act quickly.
