The trick is to DVR it and you can sail right by the musical guest (who are almost always crap). It's also nice when they get into one of those sketches that seems to never end... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzt... straight to the next sketch in the hope that it's less sucktastic.

Please tell me she dies in a particularly horrific way. I really cant stand her music. Its bad. Really really bad. As a person she's done some fairly intelligent interviews, but in all of them I find myself mesmerized by her lazy eye.

Thank you! She was boring the whole time; my wife and I agreed that her looks were what got her quite far (and that she's probably more of a studio artist than a live artist ala Britney). It's kinda sad/funny that her best performance of the night was as a smartass punk version of Annie, and the best musical performance of the night was the Doogie Howser theme digital short.

She sings very nicely, can play guitar (just doesn't on her albums - and why, when you have the Nashville talent pool to draw from?), and wrote or co-wrote all the songs on both of her albums, as well as principle arranging on her second. She also is quite lovely, and I wish her the best.

I can't stand listening to Prince, don't like any of his songs, but it doesn't mean he isn't talented musically.
