If the prostitute willingly entered into it, completely understanding all of its ramifications, I don't have a problem with it. There are plenty of legal brothels in Nevada that offer the services. I think prostitution should be legalized, regulated and taxed out the a** (pun sort of intended) all over the U.S. Problem is, the Puritan nation that the U.S. has always been tends to frown on such things.

But I do have a problem with children working in the industry. It's always been bad, but in recent years it's become worse. Or perhaps there's just more light thrown on the subject.

In this country, we don't allow children to serve in the military or hold other dangerous jobs. We don't allow them to legally drink or smoke. We don't allow them to get married until they reach a reasonable age of consent. Why? Because they haven't learned enough to understand the consequences of those actions.

The consequences of not even attempting to keep kids out of this profession, or to rescue those who are coerced into it by less scrupulous individuals, is sickening. If someone tried to pull my kid into that particular corner of hell, I'd go Samuel Jackson on their a**.

I've seen kids on the streets in the Far East, and it was a horrible thing to see. I know it happens all over the world, and it's disgusting. But saying that "it's always been this way and will always be this way" does nothing to solve the problem.

"Get over it" ?? When kids are involved, not a chance in hell. This is something we have to try to fix, even if we can't always succeed.

Human slavery should to be a Life sentence. No parole. Pimps should pay the highest price.

With that being said, prostitution should also be legal. Open, clean, safe. Forced prostitution should be dealt with in a fashion at least as harsh as the drug war and murder and pedophilia.
