Cougars can be scared off with just about anything that makes a loud booming sound. shotgun, cannon, grenade launcher. big knives and/or swords work too. and bright lights. I suggest a good falchion. it looks like an overgrown skinning knife, but hey, who can laugh at how dumb it looks when it saves (or takes) their live?

Or you could just make a point of only paying attention to the younger girls at the bar.

good advice, but not often viable in a crowded room. I reccommend just asking their age, and then mentioning it over and over again. generally, it makes them uncomfortable, and they will move on to different targets.

It's the bay area! Just go to a gay bar if you want to avoid a cougar. If one tries to pounce on you, grab the nearest guys ass. That is how you scare away a cougar my friends.

Why not throw the bear at the cougar? They'll just go shopping and talk about guys.

Exactly.

A friend of mine used to have a warehouse in downtown Portland where we would rehearse all the time, and one afternoon we were standing on the sidewalk taking a break and a procession of bears in leather thongs, 'slutty lumberjack' attire and various forms of bondage gear paraded by. Turns out the warehouse was next door to Portland's #1 bear bar (The Dirty Duck) and that was parade day. After about 100 bears walked by, we all looked at each other and said "did we really just see that?"

/back to cougars, please

A cougar is a woman who is around late 30s+, still very good looking, who likes her men young and preys on them to keep her many hungers satisfied.

A cougar will teach you young'uns Love. (properly)

I've also slept with the other kind of cougar in the Bay Area, so I'm really really getting a kick out of these replies!

31 is in no way a freakin cougar. jesus christ, 2 years earlier she was in her 20s.

I agree with picturescrazy. The subby pulled some zen voodoo magic on us by NOT making any of the obvious jokes, leaving us all scratching our heads as we reread the headline, searching...

Either that, or he just wanted to let us thread monkeys have all the fun. Either way, good one!

i understand the cougar reference, but what's the banana slug bit about?
