Wouldn't he have to learn how to read first?

Hmmm. I've never seen a pop-up pamphlet before. That will be interesting.

patriot, turrist, bipartisan, librul, wmd, strategery, sovurn, awesome, awesomeness, mission accomplished, stay the course

I heard Barbara bought him the big 64 crayon box with the built in sharpener just for this.

Pop-ups would be pretty cool . . . one for each of the 57 States.

Peter von Nostrand 2009-01-11 01:26:50 PM
I thought subby was going with crayon on construction paper. Pop-up form was an excellent and surprise choice. Nicely done.

The price will be redacted. Then you find out about the monthly payments of $10 billion.

Pop-up, nah... scratch-and-sniff.

Sounds like another part of the Legacy Plan, to me.

I might buy it, though, it might be funny.

Kit Carson: Pop-ups would be pretty cool . . . one for each of the 57 States.

If you going to parrot this line out get it right. When Obama said he had been to 57 states he mentioned he had one more to go to in the continental US + Alaska and Hawaii. That means he didn't claim there were 57 states, but 60.

Funny, that makes it seem it being a simple mistake much more likely... saying fifty instead of forty accidentally.

Jonathan Hohensee 2009-01-11 01:39:10 PM
Great, just what we need, a president who waved a Stevie Wonder, refused to sell his home to blacks, said that the French didn't have a word for entrepreneur, described eminem as the "most dangerous threat to American children since polio", paid for the funeral of a 6-year-old who drowned near his ranch in Crawford, Texas, to write a book.

Did you know that Nostradamus predicted in 2000 that the "village idiot will come forth to be acclaimed the leader in the home of greatest power"
Looks like the great profit was proven right.

Corrected 'imbecilic' for you, and since this memoir is not going to be written by the New York Times, Daily Kos, or the Huff Post there is no way it could be the 'most' imbecilic thing ever written.

This "Bush's library and/or memoirs will feature coloring books and/or pop-ups!" is getting old.

I still think this is the wrong tone to take with Bush. He's less stupid, more unAmerican in my mind.

Way to catch Osama Bin Laden, GOP.

Jonny Chimpo 2009-01-11 02:17:03 PM
I think a Bush memoir could actually be a very interesting read. Right now the Bush administration seems to be very focused on his legacy. When this book is written, it will be more likely that the legacy is more firm set, and it will hopefully show his reaction. I am just afraid that the memoirs will be too revisionist.

Coelacanth 2009-01-11 02:22:02 PM
Somebody has to do something before the GOP turns the Shrub into another Abraham Lincoln or Jesus Christ.

FunkOut [TotalFark] 2009-01-11 02:23:45 PM
Forget pop-up, what about scratch and sniff?

One natural gas pipeline company gives out a scratch and sniff sheet of chemical smells to residents who live near the pipline. I had no idea just how nauseating scratch and sniff propane, gas, crude oil, and natural gas stickers could be.

And when obama does his book it will have chicken grease and watermelon seeds on it. See how easy this is. Big deal.

Poor winners are just as pathetic as sore losers.

Get over yourselves.

I think that people have been making "Bush is stupid" jokes since 1999. This is hardly a phenomenon that just popped up from the glee of Obama winning.

I hope he does it with an academic co-author and really discusses his presidency as he saw it with some honesty. It might be an interesting read, and I might even cut the guy some slack.

Another moron that lacks the capacity of thought to see why people may have a strong distaste for george because of his presidential actions and try to compare it with bashing on somebody who hasn't made a single official executive decision yet. Color me surprised. Seems stupidity is still a platform for the GOP.

Yes, because being racist is exactly the same thing as making fun of a truly stupid arsehole.

An excerpt:

You are the President of the United States of America, and the country has been attacked by terrorists.

1) To commit the necessary resources to defeat them in Afghanistan turn to page 43.

2) To commit too few resources to fully stabilize the country and instead invade Iraq, also with too few resources turn to page 57.

3) To do all of option 2, but also destroy America's reputation, ruin the economy, and pursue divisive domestic policies, turn to page 80:
