Molly Ward and Reggie Raysor haven't seen what happens on those benches late at night or after Georgia Tech football games.

Come for the naked train rides, leave with scabies/crabs/herpes/etc.

I won't even touch anything on MARTA with my hands if I can help it... sheesh.

From what I remember of MARTA, Five Points to Lindbergh is a relatively short trip through a pretty good section of town. ATL Farkers, is that right?

Have you ever been to 5 points? There is a reason why insurance rates for our company goes up if we park our work vans down there, its a shiat hole.

I haven't been to Atlanta for many years. I looked it up, and I think I was confusing 5 points with an area closer to midtown. Having looked at it, I agree with your assessment. But it seems like a trip south towards College Park would have been a more daring "experiment."

Five Points is the baseline. Go North of it (like Lindbergh) and it gets better. Go South, it gets worse.

Five Points itself is a good litmus test for Atlantans. Ask someone in Atlanta if it's dangerous... If they're from the Northern lily-white suburbs, they say hell yeah. If they're from the south, they say it's a breath of fresh air.

Yeah youre probably right, maybe you were thinking of little 5 points, which is a hipster area with head shops and eclectic food.

Hey, it has to be cleaner than a pubic restroom.

College Park is getting a lot better. It's pretty much the new East Atlanta. So I hear anyway.

Actually that was completely unintentional. I don't know what a pubic restroom is but it certainly doesn't sound pleasant.

I really don't get scared here. The only time I get edgy while traveling with the family is actually heading west on marta, towards like Bankhead. Even then, its not bad unless it is midnight. A real eye opener for me was when I moved here, about ten years ago. We were driving, exploring the city, and were on that side of town. Being from up north, we were not used to seeing whisper* black people *whisper. You can drive on that side of town for a half hour and not see a single white face. A lot of very nice houses, very nice people, but they were all looking at us like WTF are you doing here? It's really funny looking back on it now. Atlanta is awesome. Everyone keeps to their own shiat.

Aw, man, it was time for the no pants ride already?
This is the 8th annual No Pants Transit Ride. It was started in New York City.
http://improveverywhere.com/

Improv Everywhere has done a ton of awesome missions.
http://improveverywhere.com/2007/07/24/redheads/ Got a bunch of redheads together to protest a local Wendy's, claiming their logo was racist.
http://improveverywhere.com/2008/01/31/frozen-grand-central/ Froze time in Grand Central Station.
http://improveverywhere.com/2006/04/23/best-buy/ - Got 80 people, all wearing Blue, to walk into a Best Buy (where the uniform is a blue shirt)

All great stuff

Relatively short, yes. Good section of town, not so much. We actually went round-trip.

Yeah, I was in the no pants ride nyc today. It was awesome despite the snow. The looks on people's faces plus the hot chicks in cute undies made it all worthwhile. Plus we had the numbers. Like 1200-1500 people was the estimate count.

Well you know, soft cotton can polish some rather blemished plastic seats and save the cleaning crews some time. And bleach. Might want to take a shower and do some laundry later.

/my bare ass isn't touching it.
