San Francisco has the most ghetto zoo I have ever been to. Entire exhibit buildings are boarded up / locked. What a farking ripoff. The Woodland park zoo in Seattle is teh awesome!!

Well the Pachyderm building is closed because they have no Elephants.protesters say SF's too cold .(Oakland is OK though)
The Lion House is closed to the public and Lion feedings not done in public.Protesters say it stresses lions out to be watched while eating. The Tropical Savannah building awaits funding for repairs.
The new Rhino exhibit will be finished shortly,and there are plans to redo the Polar Bear Grottos.In the last ten years better than half of the place has been renewed,rebuilt, or restored.I have seen it happen.

/And, they do have an awesome 1905 Cagney E Type 22" Guage Steam Engine.

I lived in San Francisco for a few years and never visited the Zoo, might have to go now to check out the baby though. Though I live near Oak Park in Sacramento now so maybe I've seen enough baby Gorillas lately.....
