The most powerful man on earth, leader of the free world, and his mother-in-law is moving in. That's a damn shame.

Diogenes [TotalFark] 2009-01-09 05:13:36 PM
Poor guy.

"Oh. So you're wearing...that tie today."

"When are you going to fix the economy already?"

"Why is this place so drafty?"

"So I bet you think you're all something now. Well let me tell you...."

Nabb1: The most powerful man on earth, leader of the free world, and his mother-in-law is moving in. That's a damn shame.

Sounds like the pitch for a sitcom on NBC.

He's the President of the United States.
Leader of the free world.
Arguably the most powerful and respected man on Earth.
But, his mother-in-law is moving in to the White House.

"Michelle, you know Jamal became a Doctor, I bet he would have plenty of time to help you with the kids."

First Lady in Law

Coming to NBC this Fall!

That poor man. He's gonna be visiting Iraq a lot just to get away from her.

"Hey troops, I'm back! Did you miss me?"

Sounds like the premise of a really shiatty summer comedy, to me.

Possibly starring Martin Lawrence as Ms. Obama.

His mother-in-law will never be as bad as mine was. I once brought a salad for a family pot-luck dinner and she handed me the cat's bowl to serve it from.

I thought this meme sucked balls.

I see now that it was simply a months-long setup for this headline.

Why? It can't be to help take care of the kids, lord knows that there's a ton of servants there already to clean and do other domestic type stuff, chefs to cook meals, the SS agents assigned to them will be gaining and holding their trust by becoming surrogate aunts and uncles.

Reading between the lines I think it's a security issue and that some threats must've been made. Keeping her in the White House probably costs less and is better equipped than providing a security detail in Chicago. You've got to wonder though, who's going to be keeping an eye on her house while she's gone...

As a conservative, I gotta say that I admire how tight he and his family seem to be. The guy's a family guy, it seems. Can't say that about a lot of republicans (hell, can't say it about a lot of politicians period)

Radioactive Ass: Why? It can't be to help take care of the kids

It's not like you can just replace a grandma who has been pretty involved with her kids with someone trained in small arms and unit tactics at Quantico or someone who graduated summa cum laude from Georgetown.

Obama himself was mostly raised by his granma, so he's probably into it.

Next week, Obama's wacky former mayor takes up residence in the Rose Garden after a case of mistaken identity, and when the ice cream man makes his delivery to the wrong address it turns into a REAL sticky situation.
