No, I think the dudes Halford gets know exactly what they want.

Glenn Tipton disagrees:

When Classic Rock spoke to Rob Halford before the festival tour, he expressed mild reservations regarding his vocal power - "At the age of 56, there are some things that I know I can't sing anymore". How do feel about that situation?
With that type of comment I think that Rob is selling himself short. To me, he's singing better than he's ever sung.

Really? There has been some criticism from the fans.
Rob still has the biggest range of any heavy metal singer I know, and he's been singing spot-on. He's still doing great.

He's not what he used to be--but he's still damn good.

Apparently, Glenn was hitting the sauce when that interview was conducted. Rob is NOT "singing better than he's ever sung". His range is limited and his breath control isn't what it was even 5 years ago. Also, the band is playing a lot of older songs in lower keys- a true sign of a singer who can't hit the notes he/she used to be able to.

Now, Bruce Dickinson (yes, THE Bruce Dickinson)- there's an "older" singer who's voice is still in top shape. Saw Maiden on the "Somewhere Back in Time" tour, and the man is aMAZING.

He can't sing as well as he used too because his throat is sore...from all the dicks.

Aren't all chaps assless?

Isn't that what makes them chaps?

Completely agree. Saw them both this past summer. Bruce sounded better than any other time I've seen them ('90, '92, 2000). Halford was great, but his range wasn't up as high as it was when I saw him with Maiden back in 2000.

Saw 'em this summer, and Halford looeds like he has a lot of trouble moving at times. But I went back and watched Priest...Live from Turbo tour, and even then he was starting to rely on the props to stand. Hell, he even sat down once in a while. I think his physical problems have been going on for a while.

If only there were some kind of pill that could kill his pain.
