Palin has quite a bit in common with Caroline's dad. Both of them had difficulty dealing with things off the top of their head.

The first paragraph sums up the error in thought here:

Gov. Sarah Palin (R-Alaska) believes Caroline Kennedy is getting softer press treatment in her pursuit of the New York Senate seat than Palin did as the GOP vice presidential nominee because of Kennedy's social class.

No, Sarah, if she comes under any less scrutiny, it's because she's running for the position of Junior Senator from New York and not for Vice President. I'm not even sure how many people would have to die before she became president, but I'm pretty sure it's more than the one (very old) man that was between you and that office.

THIS. This "The mean old media is so hard on poor little me!" routine Palin does works with the rubes who support her, but simply doesn't work when the Presidency is on the line. If you can't deal with the press, how will you deal with the abuse you'll get from Putin, or Chavez, or the guy in Iran whose name I won't even attempt to spell, or quite a few others? We do not want a whiny President.

Literally every story I have heard about or read about Caroline Kennedy has questioned her qualifications. And rightly so-- her qualifications are on the slender side.

So what the hell is Palin talking about?

There's that, but I don't buy the premise that Kennedy is getting lighter treatment in the first place.

I agree with Palin that Kennedy lacks any real qualifications.
Now if Palin would just admit to being a dull witted fundy who would be a nightmare scenario president we would have two points of agreement.

Yeah, I was gonna say. Most nights I have WNYC on, and their two daytime talk shows (they rerun them at night, sandwiched between the Beeb's World Report), they've had a string of local Democrats giving CK's prospects the good old WTF treatment.

Caroline Kennedy is getting "Easy" treatment?

From who exactly? She's been savaged for her attempts at popularising ValleyGirl speak with a Mass accent by everyone who's commented on her bid for Jr Sen from NY.

Sarah's paLYIN again!

When will the Rtards get to know the Real Sarah Palin?

So, it could have something to do with the fact that she's not a religious wingnut, openly at least.

/Just a guess
//Could also be because she's not already under investigation for corruption

One has a law degree, the other has a degree in communications. She probably could get elected since all New Yorkers care about is having a Democrat in the senate seat.

I just think it's funny that Manhattan has twice the population of all of Alaska.

Being Junior Senator from New York is kind of like being Governor or Alaska... except you have actual responsibilities!

Whats the difference between a pitbull and an upper class lawyer from Massachusetts? Quite a lot actually.

barneyfifesbullet 2009-01-08 04:27:34 PM
Don't agree with Palin's politics? Fine.

But, if you criticized Palin's qualifications and voted for Obama, you are a hypocrite. Of all the candidates for POTUS back through to the beginning of the primaries, Obama was/is the least qualified for the job.

Also, the same media snobs that were against Palin just because of who Palin is and where she is from, are Caroline Kennedy's biggest cheerleaders.

Just perfect. It's hilarious.

Now, tell us some more about the RETURN OF CAMELOT, MSNBC and CNN.

Like I said earlier, I don't agree with her dangerous mixing of her personal religion and politics. It bothers me as someone who doesn't hold the same beliefs that she does.

I don't really have any direct problem with Kennedy, she seems to have been involved with helping a lot of people from what I heard.
