Throw Syria and Jordan into the fray and you might... MIGHT... have a war. Until then you can expect Israel to wipe the floor with these guys.

And if it gets too hairy for Israel America will start freeing them with their bombs.

when the attacks come from Land never really occupied by Israel (yes I know about the first Lebanese war) and you have a united Islamic Brotherhood/Iran front it starts to make sense why Israel sees Arabs and not Palestinians. Its not the poor small group, its the farking Islamic Brotherhood.

And this is why it makes no sense for Israel to negotiate with Hamas.

In order to have a cease-fire with someone, that someone has to be able to guarantee that their side won't shoot. Hamas can't do that.

Hamas has loose alliances with other groups in the region, who will be more than happy to be the designated shooters in place of Hamas.

Sadly, the Israelis are better off continuing the campaign as it is. The European press doesn't like them anyway, and the Arabs will hate them no matter what. What do they really have to lose?

Yeah, it's totally our bad. They couldn't all just possibly be a bunch of farked up religious fundamentalists who think their invisible friend wants them to take as many of the other guys down with them as they can on their way out.

God farking dammit, I'm pretty liberal, but seriously, I'm about ready to join the glass parking lot folks. You can't share, you get your shiat taken away. I can't even pretend to take a side anymore. fark all of them, for the reals.

THIS. Pretty much everybody is against the Palestinians on this one. Even the usual allies are mostly turning their backs. After weeks of telling them to "knock that shiat off, or Israel's gonna pound you" and they wouldn't listen, even the Arabs admit they had it coming. Yea, there have to be a few officially beating the "hate Israel" drum, but it's half-hearted this time around. Even the Palestinians in the West Bank are relatively quiet and pretty much saying "you guys are on your own, you made your bed, you lie in it."

I have to agree.

It has been shown that time and time again Israel can not negotiate with these people. It just doesn't work. Any promise's made by them get broken has soon has they resupply with weapons. Any concession they get, they start right back to firing rockets and using suicide bombers so they can get more.

Nothing Israel can do will make the Arabs like them, or even let them be. Nothing they do, can make some of the more squeamish European country help or support them.

Egypt and Jordan don't particularly like Israel. They've simply realized that they're better off without a Jewish state looking to bomb their ass.

They've learned a few lessons from history. They have civil conversations. But they're not friends. They're just not enemies.

I'm liberal as hell and I've been one of the self-lighting glass parking lot folks for a long time. Really what's the loss? We in a period of hours do 90% of what they would spend the next hundred years doing and what they've spent the last 8000 years trying to do? How will they possibly better humanity? We can glass them and get on with enjoying a peace dividend. I'll take my iodine pills. In 1000 years would anyone look back and miss them?

They hate Israel. And when AIPAC can't handle the PR any longer in the US, Egypt and Jordan will claim their stake of the Holy Land. And God bless them!

well it was not that long ago when israel said that if other nations do not deal with irans nuclear situation they will, which would be about like how they dealt with iraqs, except that iran is smarter and has their nuclear stuff in reenforced bunkers making it harder to deal with. Even though iran is not arab ("persian" or "iranian" but a loud voice in the arab world) it would largely draw them into things. Iran is actively encouraging terrorist attacks against israel and any allies, which specifically it was stated the US.

This will not end well if it escalates much further.
