The problem with that statement would be IIRC is that the UK prefers to make selling "it" legal but buying "it" is illegal. On top of that, it seems rather amusing since last I read, there was a push by some UK politicians to get "farking after one or both parties have had even one alcoholic beverage" defined as "rape". Well, namely if the woman has had even one beer or glass of wine then its rape, for men well who cares about them, they can sod off.

the reason this is a problem (by UK standards) is that if you refuse to go for an interview or accept a position that you're offered you can lose your benefits (welfare). Not everyone is comfortable with the idea that someone would be pressured or forced to work in a lap dancing club or similar let alone work as a call girl (massage parlour / escort agency). State sponsored pimpin' not totally ok even in pretty liberal places.

If you want to do that great, if not is the states place to force you to? Also if you accept a job then quit because you really just can't handle it it takes a long time before you can get any money again.
