In September, the Canton Liquor Commission suspended the bar's Class B license for 60 days after city officials said they received complaints about exposed breasts during an August midget wrestling event there.

+1!

This kind of thing happens more often than you may think. Everything from 50's doo-wop groups to the classic rock bands that are just enough to make you say, "hey, yeah, I remember they were great, I bet I could sell out my club with that gig."

You get some smooth talker and next thing you know you're paying guarantee fees, etc. The "sell" is that the club owner pays for the band to show up, and then the club owner is responsible for promotion and ticket sales. The only problem is that the manager/booker has nothing to do with the band.

There should be a special criminal classification and circle of hell for people like this: Assholes Who Ruin It For The Rest Of Us.

I might pay that much to castrate the lead singer with a branding iron. Assuming Creed is booked already.

The same idiot who would get scammed by a phony REO Speedwagon booker.

Reminds me of that show "Still Standing". Sister of Jamie Gertz goes out with a guy in a Foghat tribute band.

"We just lost out on a Foghat Tribute gig because another band was willing to work cheaper than us"

other guy says "another tribute band"

first guy " No, Foghat"

I heard this from a friend who heard it from a friend who heard it from another.

I would think an actual "REO Speedwagon" would cost much more than booking the band for a night.

It's 'Richrath', and believe it or not, the guys still put on a kickass live show.

Actually know someone in the biz' that booked REO near the end of 08, but iirc their real fee was something like 40-45k
