He should ask, neigh, demand, that the courts consider this an act of environmentalism. After all, horses are carbon offenders of the worst order.

On a more serious note, the man will likely face more severe repercussions at home (IE wherever he parks his buggy) than the courts could possibly mete in this case.

Driving a buggy, I am assuming he is Amish. Are they supposed to be drinking?

The Amish youth at this age have a period of more relaxed rules and structure that their parents allow them. This lets them 'see the world' and understand what they are going to give up when they decide to become baptized members of the Amish church, because after that, they can't do this sort of thing. This sort of thing is very typical, because this is their only chance to run around and raise hell.

Looking at my mustangs (the four footed kind) out the back window right now. I would love to kick the crap out of this kid.

Luckily the other person in the vehicle was not probably traveling at high speed. Hitting a horse in a car can kill you, not to mention the death of the horse.

I hope this kid goes to PMITA prison, but it probably won't happen.

As I recall, those "Hellians" throw the most farkin sweet parties. Back in High School, they were the source for booze (homebrew cider). And their parties always felt vaguely like time travelling.

And just why wouldn't they? If you got emotionally attached to your hammer, and then it broke one day while you were cooping barrels, you'd be inconsolable and unable to coop any more barrels. It's all in the name of efficiency.

I'm trying to figure out why there's all this Amish talk in the thread. I mean, sure, the guy was driving a horse-drawn buggy, but nowhere in the farking article does it say he was Amish or from an Amish community. I even looked up the town to make sure so I didn't sound like a fool.

A Craftsman, you say? Well, that's an entirely different story. But you do have to keep one question in mind: Is his loyalty to you, or to the labour union?

I knew a little rich kid whose daddy bought him a cobra for his first car when he was 16, and the kid totaled it at like 30 mph changing the radio in traffic. It's okay though, his daddy bought him a new one.

A guy driving a buggy in PA is most likely going to be amish.

Your google-fu is weak. Headline of TFA says he's from Mercer County, which has one of the largest Amish communities in the country. To say that a Mercer man driving a buggy was Amish would be redundant.

Now, if he wasn't Amish, they would have said so because that would be news.
