FTFA: The Broward County Medical Examiner's office will determine whether or not it is a human skull

It would seem to me that it wouldn't take a CSI crime lab to determine whether it's a human skull or not, even in Florida.

It was nice of CBS4 to include a file image of a skull, just in case we weren't sure what one looked like.

One time I fowl-hooked a rotting catfish carcass

Yeah, but later I found out that my dad put those skulls in there just so we wouldn't leave empty handed.

/Still a badass father

Two of my friends found a skull during a scout trip. It had a hole in the forehead that was, if I recall, made by a .22 round. They were both about 12 or 13 years old. It was about the coolest thing I had ever heard of at the time. I joined scouts the next year.

I don't think it'sa anything to lose your head over.

"When I found the skull in the woods, the first thing I did was call the police. But then I got curious about it. I picked it up, and started wondering who this person was, and why he had deer horns."

-Jack Handy

\first thing that came to mind

Yes, why do you ask?

That would be the best day fishing ever. Bleach up that skull and put it on ebay.

Based on that photo, I think we can upgrade this from "possible human skull".

They should put that on the brochure!

So is it questionable if it's a skull, that it's human, or both? It could just be half a bowling ball for all the info they've given us so far. Skulls are pretty identifiable if they've got both eye sockets.

I'd be more interested if it was more of the bones they've already found in that canal, and which ones. What's been going on down in that swamp?

When I was younger, I'd fish the river behind my house all the time. People started finding trash bags of human organs all up and down the river, and I spent countless afternoons scouring the banks for one. Eventually, it was discovered that a Funeral home upstream was discarding organs in the river, but I never got to find my bag of guts and stuff.
/good times..

If you look closely you can see that it is a "file image of a skull".

WTF!?!? Fishing in a canal in Florida? I hope they were doing it for sport and not for eating anything they caught!! Good giggly wiggly! Do you know what is thrown in those canals? From sewage, to toxic waste, stolen cars, suicides, to murdered bodies. Anything you want to get rid of and dont want anyone else to know about. Not to mention the occasional alligator looking to make a meal out of a dog or person standing on the bank.

I used to live in Miami. I know what is in those canals. Stay away from them!
