Those kids will no doubt be stellar citizens when they turn eighteen.

Protip: If the cop gave you a ticket, it means he has your name, address, driver's license number, and knows where you live and work. So revenge is not advisable.

Here is one of those cases where you wish the kids had ran in front of a train. I'm sure they have BRIGHT futures ahead of them...

Sure this cop didn't deserve to have his truck torched for writing this ticket, but I'll bet he's done something crooked in the past to deserve it, and even if he didn't, there are plenty of other bad cops out there that do deserve this.

Not long...In my rough estimation, about 65% of all anticop whining is along the lines of "Whaaah! Those mean cops won't let me drive 110 mph while drunk off my ass and snorting coke off the ass of the hooker in the passenger seat! Fascist bastards!"

I've yet to meet anyone actually arrested, myself included, who hasn't done something to get themselves there. You may not like it that the cops can arrest you for driving over the speed limit on a suspended license, but those are the laws YOU voted for. And no one told you to be a smartass to the cop when he walked up to your window, you did that yourself.

You don't have to be nice to the cop, true; but if you tease a pit bull, how can you be surprised when you get bit?

If this was done to just an ordinary person's car or house... it would only be a "civil" matter because the kids are under 18.... BUT since it was done to an piggy's property - that's an entire different set of laws.

Right, because the officer said they had it on them, it means they definately had it on them, because cops have NEVER planted drugs on someone they just didn't like, right?

Real men of genuis...

Today we salute you, Mr. Fark.com Cop Hater

Mr. Fark.com cop hater...

You're a hardcore rebel who breaks all the rules, and you damn well know your rights entitle you to do so. And as you sit in the basement of your parent's house amidst your Star Wars posters, you let the entire internet know it!

I know my rights you pig...

Sure you'd run screaming to the cops if you were ever the victim of a crime, but that one time you got busted for possession because the police smelled pot in your dorm room and opened your desk drawer was clearly an illegal search, and you're going to stand up against authority in all forms because of it!

It was only two ounces...

So crack open an ice cold Bud Light you maverick of mayhem, and be an asshole to every cop you ever encounter. Why be friendly an cooperative when you could instead be a total douchebag, and maybe get tasered? Because then comes the fat lawsuit.

Seriously a guy who just woke up and had bright flames farking with his night vision saw you? You had to be in his goddamn yard for that to happen.

Meh, I have had a few encounters with police officers before. Umm I have been arrested like 5 times. Worst encounter though was when I got a DUI. Two officers showed up, one was being a total dick and the other was being really cool.

I was being very compliant but took my hoodie off without asking first and the dick cop behind me grabbed my arm and pulled it behind my back. I actually yelped in pain while the nice cop looked at me in disbelief. I guess that was not a good thing or something as the dick cop left a few moments later.

/Nice cop actually let me off the hook kind of because he decided not to charge me with an open container because of how compliant I was during the whole ordeal.

Cops rarely save lives. The vast majority of the time they're simply there to document the incident or provide security for the skilled investigators at a crime scene. The rest of the time they're enhancing their department's revenue for that fiscal period. In the rare case that they manage to "save lives" its solely because they're luckily in the right place at the right time, or "cleaning up" a problem after its already run amuck.

I dunno why people think that not automatically treating cops like heroes is "hating them". The police need to be watched and criticized much more than they are, because they have extraordinary powers. Treating them automatically with some sort of heroic regard is exactly what makes cops a dangerous risk.

/didn't vote for 55mph speed limits
//55mph speed limits aren't for safety anyway
///is surprised that cops don't get retaliation more often
////they do indeed sometimes deserve it, they ain't all heroes
///don't know enough about this case either way
//great power = great responsibility = detailed, anal oversight by an outside group who has teeth
/should be easier to suspend cops that misbehave, harder to convict based on cops' testimony alone

Santa brought you a bag of THIS.

One of the assholes on our local police department spends an inordinant amount of time on our local newspaper's user forums starting trolling threads about speed traps he helps set up in town and then mocking those who reply.

Power - the people who want it are rarely well suited for it.

Sadly, instead of the two gentlemen being able to tell their future children of the night that they were acting like idiots and got busted for speeding and a bit of weed- they now have the wonderful story of how they got even, torched the police officer's vehicle, and were busted on felony charges.
I wonder if the future kids will be impressed or repulsed.

People who retaliate to anything by setting stuff on fire are usually not the brightest bulbs in the box.

LiteWerk 2008-12-28 06:14:49 AM
I'm just guessing that all the cops in that town are gonna have those kids number, if you know what I mean. I mean, if they so much as jaywalk, I'll bet they get a ticket. Cops stick together and watch out for each other, and I'm sure I would too, if I were a cop. Messing with a cop to get revenge is something only a real lowlife would do.

/wouldn't be surprised if the arrogant punks were actually from a well-off family

LiteWerk 2008-12-28 06:27:32 AM
I guess that since these youth like to get "baked," they got the awesome idea to have the arresting officer's vehicle baked, too.

Now if the parents of these wonderful kids were to beat their kids to within an inch of their lives for being such incredible douchebags and disgracing their families, I could support that measure.

/OK, maybe there's more appropriate punishment, and I certainly hope they get their fair share of it
