I'm not going to say religions are just all fine and peachy, because it does do a lot of goofy things to people. Religion and culture are, in a lot of ways, inseparable. The way Islam has evolved with the Taliban is definitely worse for woman than other brands of Islam. I hate cultural relativism, and am quite against cultures that are innately racist and sexist. Am I going to say the US is perfect? Nope, far from it. Is it the best? I dunno, havent had a whole lot of exposure to other cultures. I'm from California, and even now living in Alabama I can see some cultural differences I really don't like.
