And you trust this man to carry the economy out of this mess, he can't even support the weight of his own sunglasses. Whatever you voted for him, he's your problem now. I voted McCain.

Careless, irresponsible, socialist nut.

I heard he told press-folks at the golf course that they had enough pictures, too.

What an elitist, non-picture-liking bastard.

As a sidenote, I would've loved to grow up in Hawaii, except the first professor I did research with was Hawaiian and explained the limitations of growing up there in pretty good detail. Well, enough where I finally understood why someone would voluntarily leave Hawaii for Michigan. Or Chicago, for that matter.

/winter sucks sometimes

Chicago, Michigan, (clicks profile) Detroit, Ann Arbor. You're stalking me like a press pool at a shaved ice stand!

From The New Republic (new window)

From the WaPo's Philip Rucker, who was on protective pool duty today and who had to scramble after Obama took an unannounced trip to a marine park with his daughters and some friends:

The Obamas and friends were seen attending the dolphin show, the tourists said. It is unclear whether the Obamas swam with dolphins, and Obama's clothing did not appear wet.

This is where the "Washington Post" shows the "Honolulu Advertiser" how journalism is supposed to be done.

MorrisBird [TotalFark] 2008-12-27 05:38:11 AM
In other news, a wad of ABC (already been chewed) gum was found under the desk of a local middle school. An area child, who sits at the desk, is under suspicion. Called at home, the area child did not respond as, according to his mother, the child, "was out building a snowman."

"Everyone, once you've ordered, step back," Obama instructed the kids.

This proves that once in power he will no longer listen to the voters.

Just an FYI: It's not necessarily a slow news day. It's just a pool report. Pool reports always have those sorts of tiny details because, if something isn't in the pool report, the members of the pool cannot write them up.

I thought about that, but since he was ordering a tuna sandwich, there was probably already some mayo mixed in with the tuna. And maybe some boiled egg. And a little celery. Perhaps some pepper. All on some lightly toasted grainy bread. Maybe there was a pickle on the side. Or some salt and vinegar potato chips.

/this thread is making me hungry

Fromageball 2008-12-27 11:46:35 AM
I admire the detail of this article, those reporters don't miss anything.

Phil Herup 2008-12-27 11:51:53 AM
krelborne: And maybe some boiled egg.

It is awesome with some egg. Then you get egg salad and tuna salad at the same time. Not into the celery though in my tuna/egg action. It is a texture thing.

/maybe then melt everything with a panini grill press? The bread ever so lightly sprayed with an olive oil mister thingy.

michaeld5 2008-12-27 12:00:36 PM

Phil Herup: Not into the celery though in my tuna/egg action. It is a texture thing.

Celery generally only works for me if I've already decided to put some lettuce on it. Then, the celery is similar enough to the lettuce that the texture doesn't bother me.

/kinda wish I had the right ingredients in my fridge right now
