(Denver Post) Cool Phish rumored for Red Rocks reunion. "Red Rocks organizers will likely see a five-night stand as the answer to the crowding issues, which will just prolong the stinky invasion."   (blogs.denverpost.com) divider line 22

the band's residual dirt surfers

I love that - that's a very succinct description of Phish-heads.

I've been to Red Rocks. Twice. It's kind of creepy and boring. Everyone thinks they're so cool. Lots of those 'shrooms around, which don't do anything.

Came here to say that. Phish can't hear all the haters above the sound of the ca-ching.

Many people talk about the beauty of red rocks as a venue, and while it does have good sound and a large amount of natural beauty. It is VERY VERY small for the amount of people that will likely show up for a Phish Reunion tour kickoff. They've been kicked out of the town because of what happened in the past.

Honestly, if they wanted somewhere that has a ton of natural beauty to play at but can handle the capacity, they should look at the Gorge, that venue is awesome.

It's also a good place to start their tour, as from there they can move down the west coast, and then travel across the nation, and run either up or down the east coast.

/been to a LOT of Phish shows.
//can't wait for spring/summer

C'mon, she's smoking hot. And.. yeah, you're not really supposed to get dreadlocks wet. They don't need washing that often, and if you get them wet and don't dry them out properly they're liable to mildew.

Serious, here's a here's a rumored list of gigs, no new window:

April 9-10-11 MGM Grand Garden Arena Las Vegas, NV
April ?? (post-Vegas but pre-Philly) Pepsi Center Denver, CO
April 16-17-18 The Spectrum Philadelphia, PA
April 20-21-(22?) Madison Square Garden New York, NY

June 2-3 Camden, NJ
June 4 Jones Beach, NY
June 5-6 Hartford Meadows, CT
June 13-14 Bonnaroo Manchester TN
June 16-17-18 Deer Creek
June 19 Busch Stadium St Louis MO

July 24-25 The Gorge
July 29-30-31/Aug 1 Red Rocks
Aug 4-5 Shoreline Amp Mt View CA
Aug 6-7 Staples Center (or Hollywood Bowl) Los Angeles CA

The article mentions a Pepsi Center gig in the spring + a Red Rocks run, but who knows how accurate that all is? I like that West Coast portion, very doable, as is the Las Vegas portion.

Maybe this time the cops in Morrison won't act like jack-booted thugs and freak out because people are milling around or go on a rampage because some stoned dude back talks at 'em.

/Love Phish, especially 93-95
//Showers twice a day
///Hate the smell of patchouli
////Who's got my grilled cheese sandwiches?
////Slashies, dude

That list is garbage.

1st Vegas, MGM isn't big enough, nor would MGM even want them there. If they are in Vegas it will be Thomas and Mac Center, OR Sam Boyd Arena. But probably T & M

For Denver the only day that would work would be the 14th because Pepsi Center is already in use the other days. There is no way they would play a show in Denver, and then 2 days later in Philly, but the dead give away there is that They would not book concerts right now for multiple days in April/May in places like the Spectrum or MSG because of chance of Knicks/Rangers/76ers/Flyers play off games.

the June runs seems sort of ok, but I find it hard to believe they would leave out Star Lake, Lakewood and Satatoga. Also I'm 99.99999% sure they have been banned from Hartford

Busch Stadium will never happen. They would need completely different equipment and stage set up for there, they wouldn't do that for 1 show.

Staples Center in August won't happen wither, and Hollywood Bowl is too small.

speaking of bands everyone loves to hate, when Dave Matthews played Red Rocks years ago Carter Beauford was overheard asking "where all the flaming torches were..."

You mentioned DMB just to remind us that Phish isn't really that bad, didn't you?

I love Red Rocks, probably see three or four shows a year there, but let's be honest, about 2/3 of the seats at Red Rocks suck. Either you're up too far, and can't hear sh*t, or you constantly have people stepping over you since there's no middle isle.

Phish should find an empty field or fairgrounds in Colorado and just bring in their own stage. That way they have unlimited tickets, and they won't have to jack around with Morrison cops or any of the other headaches associated with Red Rocks. Also, with that kind of setting, I can move if I get stuck near some Boulder frat-douches or hyper-hippy trustafarians.

Going to see WP at the Pepsi Center on New Year's Eve. Whoo-hoo!

That rumored list does not work for me at all. Can we just block out a few days in August for Loring AFB?
Thanks.

After looking at the rumored dates that Henry Holland posted, I'll ask the same question that I asked the last time rumored dates were posted:

Why aren't there any rumors about shows in New England? While I know that they're not enamored with sound at the so-called "Boston Garden", I can't see them not playing shows in the cities/states that supported them when they were selling dozens of tickets instead of thousands.

Sorry, a few shows in Connecticut wouldn't cut it for me.
