Why do 25% of Americans lie to telephone pollsters?

Lionel Mandrake [TotalFark] 2008-12-26 04:19:55 PM
23 percent indicated they'll miss him.

Specifically, they'll miss watching the infuriated libtards gnashing their teeth in anger. They've got less than a month now to use this stick to poke lefties in the eye. Then they have to go back to pretending that the Constitution and fiscal responsibility are core GOP/conservative concerns.

T.M.S. [TotalFark] 2008-12-26 04:23:52 PM
Bullshiat poll.

It is possible to be happy to see him go and miss him at the same time.

Kind of like pubic lice or Roy Cohn.

I submitted this with a better headline :)

75% of people glad Bush is leaving office. The other 25% still believe in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy.

Well, I would not say "clutching" but it was nice to finally have one to take home and put in the closet until company came over for deviled eggs, manhattans and G+T's.

Speaking of closets, my post was a bit obscure I admit. Good on you for noticing. I was referencing a moment in the play Angels in America where the character of Roy describes pubic lice as a determined false-conservative operative.

Roy Cohn dying from AIDS: It's hard to kill something when it knows what it is. Like pubic lice. Ever had pubic lice?

Belize(A fabulous drag queen and RN in the AIDS ward): None of your business.

Roy: I picked-up some super crabs from some kid. Took 20 drenchings of Kwell...finally shaving to get rid of the little bastards. Nothing could kill 'em. And everytime I had an itch I'd smile...

because I learned to respect them. These unkillable crabs.

Because I learned to identify. Determined lowlife. Like me.

Sometimes people just see themselves in the most odd places. Bush needs some Kwell.

Peace Bek

I actually do kind of feel sorry for the guy but then I realize he will go into relative obscurity with narry a care in the world and plenty of money to soothe his hurt feelings. I'm happy to see him go simply because I'm sick and tired of certian portions of the Liberal Movement acting like children throwing a tantrum - this little pounding of fists on the floor while screaming has been going on for four to six years now and I'm really sick of it - can't wait for that shait to stop.

Then I realize that a certian portion of the Conservative\Republican Movement are going to do the same shait to Obama to "Teach them libruls a lesson" and I have to do a face palm.

/I weep for both fringe sides of our political spectrum - then I weep for the vast middle that has to listen to them biatch for years at a time.

The motherless children in Iraq agree with you.

But I doubt they will stop screaming for a while.

So you're cool with the whole "farking up the nation beyond anyone's wildest dreams" part, right?

On the other hand I do agree for a particular group: I am more than happy to stop hearing the folks comparing Bush to Hitler. That's limited to the 9/11 conspiracy folks and the editorial staff of the Village Voice for the most part, but that particular comparison just shows an utter and complete lack of understanding of the climate in Germany under Nazism.

The reason the "libruls" were so pissed off is that you conservatives actually thought he was doing a good job and were actively dismantling the checks and balances of government to accomplish your agenda. What was even MORE frustrating is that pretty much ever single thing we warned you about came true.

That's what pisses me off. Being RIGHT.

Bush left too many dead, crippled, and wounded in Iraq (Invading in the first place), Afghanistan (Withdrawing forces to invade Iraq), and along the US Gulf Coast (What does Cat-5 tropical cyclone mean?).

I have no sympathy and look forward to his departure.

Why were myself and others screaming about Bush? Because he farked up EVERYTHING he touched. And then he was reelected and kept going downhill.

Even I'm amazed how Bush screwed up the Republic since 2000. Obama could just do an average job after Bush, and I'll be grateful.

Conservatives still talk about Bush Derangement Syndrome. Even when 75% of the country seem to have it.

An old saying:
When one person tells you you're crazy, they're just being an ass.
When two people tell you you're crazy, you might want to consider the possibility
When three people tell you you're crazy, you should go get a professional opinion.

When 75% of the entire country thinks you're a crappy president, you are a crappy president.

Bush didn't lose. Bush won two elections.

But I am sorry for all of you who will have no one to blame for every single bad thing that happens. Every storm, every crime, every business failure will now be left a mystery. How ever will you handle not having W around to throw your shoes at? Can you say scape goat?
