Shirtless Obama photo staged?

Image makes some wonder
*chuckle*

I would expect no better than "makes some wonder" from the Washington Times.

"conservatives" are probably outraged that they aren't seeing McCain shirtless instead.

Yeah, why is wild-hair-up the-ass speculation from Brent Bozell's Media Research Center being reported as factual news?

Former President Ronald Reagan, who was both a swimsuit model and a lifeguard in his younger days, was a veritable icon of presidential pulchritude. Mr. Reagan cut a dashing figure in office whether astride a horse or in spotless tuxedo.

First, who cares? Maybe they were. I, for one, don't care about those pictures at all.

Secondly, that entire article was nothing but wild speculation, which is a mountain of bullshiat. I seriously need a job like that. I can make shiat up all day long.

Eidolon 2008-12-24 06:46:17 AM
Ahhhh, this is well-played. Admiringly cover Obama's good press as actually being a well-run publicity campaign and that you'd have to be naive to believe otherwise, using nothing more than speculation upon which to base your assertions, cover it so that the good news is really a diversion from bad news, to anchor the bad news in the reader's mind whenever they read of the good.

yarnothuntin 2008-12-24 06:48:07 AM
As stupid as that article is, I think it was trying to point out the cult of personality Obamamania has generated. Of course, the author HAD to throw in his own little Regan Worship which kind of made his whole argument cyclical and moot.

Any way, here is Living Colour with their 1988 hit...

By "staged" they mean that he didn't change his vacation habits to wandering around the beach in a suit because the cameras are going to be following him everywhere from now on.

Please, lets have an article on the color of his sandals next.

And you can be sure if positive images of President Bush in a bathing suit had appeared sometime in 2000, the press would have cast suspicions on them as a staged photo-op," Mr. Graham said.

Didn't the press routinely jizz themselves over pictures of Bush clearing brush at his "ranch"?

Everything about Obama is careful manipulation of his image.

The new thing is him being sworn in on the bible Lincoln used.

Before it was the "team of rivals"

On election day it was the comparisons to JFK.

Obama is working on his legacy before he's even sworn in.

You people are missing the point--

Since it was possible that this picture was staged, then it is incontrovertibly proven that it was staged.

Because, and I am a little disappointed I have to remind everyone, if you can imagine it, and it reflects badly on the Democrat party, IT IS TRUE.

I mean, just look at Rahm's 21 conversations with Blago. It's not like we don't see proof of this every day.

michaeld5 2008-12-24 09:47:37 AM

Yeah, compare a shirtless seventy something year old man with a shirtless 47 year old man.

That'll work.

/Actually, they're both the same height, and it will only take a couple more years of sedentary living for Obama to look like Reagan.
