Subby: Hillary Jones makes it look easy

That's because it was. Maybe she got better in the 6 years since that woeful "solo"

Were your parents mean to you when you were a child?

No. I had a great childhood and my adulthood is going along pretty frigging great as well. Now that that's been established it doesn't change the fact that Hillary Jones is roughly 2 notches above "sucks"

Seeing a good drum solo is like seeing a good base solo, both of which are one step down from eating a dry unseasoned skinless breast of chicken with a glass of lukewarm water. Some people like that sort of thing, I guess.

No, that didn't suck. That was a pretty good groove she had going. Starting out slow and built up at the end. Since this was a recording from the Drummer Collective show, a performance from a school formed by professional drummers and they cheered and hooted at the end I would say they agree.

She had toured and performed with such people as Maria Muldaur, Angela Bofill, Clarence Clemmons, Pete Escovedo, Ray Obiedo, and Doc Severinson. I would give them credit for knowing a good drummer from bad.

Malbar: Hillary Jones has a rotten smelling coont and her drum skills are on the level of a 9 year old C++ programmer who doesn't understand pointers or arrays.

Has C++ become so irrelevant in this day and age that you must attempt to relate it to things that it has no bearing on?

Keep playing guitar hero and wishing you could play an instrument. Does bashing actual musicians make you feel better for not having the balls to become an artist yourself? Or if you do play, help you assuage the feeling of inadequacy you have every time pick up the instrument or microphone?

As a non-musician who loves music, I have always enjoyed a bass or drum solo. I paid $$ to go to concerts so that the musicians in the band can show me their talents, individually and of course, collectively.

I respect talent and have always grooved/marveled at drum and bass solos.

Would have been better if she had done it topless.

/Amazed that this hasn't already been said.
