TeddyRooseveltsMustache: This guy doesn't like Iron Maiden? Pansy.

up until about 3 years ago, I assumed Iron Maiden was one of those awful joke bands on the same level as Man-o-War, but apparently people like them. Ditto Judas Priest.

Scritti Politti?

Really?

Really?

I assume that most people only like them "ironically". Don't get the appeal. Even when I was a kid and an arrogant metalhead farktard, I still didn't get the appeal of Iron Maiden. They're the very definition of cheese metal.

Rubbish. Pure rubbish. That is all.

I never heard of this guy until five minutes ago on the London Times 'Celebrity Sightings' award snark piece.

This guy is a producer? Of what?

He looks like he's 16.

Say what you will about the guy, but his work with The Spiders from Mars was amazing.

Boring

Wow...Shuggie Otis. I didn't know anybody but me knew about him.

/studied his blues playing as a youngster. The guy's a guitar stud.

16 year olds don't have poorly disguised receding hairlines.

/He's in his 30's.

Never heard of him.

SplitGuy 2008-12-21 02:56:34 PM
M'eh, but he does get a bonus point for the Vince Guaraldi Trio.
/Listen to the Charlie Brown Christmas stuff constantly this time of year.

Hey, d-bag, I don't think you're supposed to put your OWN band in there... who are you, Lars Ulrich?

SharkTrager 2008-12-21 03:29:06 PM
I clicked the link not to read the list but simply to reward them for not using the one per page slideshow.

I thought it said Mick Ronson. Who the hell is this guy?

No, people don't like Maiden "ironically". It may have something to do with them being an awesome heavy metal band. Great guitar work and badass vocals combined with some pretty damn good lyrics.

The Whatnauts are a good look.

For someone who mined the 70's soul sound dry, at least he's got taste

Yes. Green Gartside is a fecking genius. From noisy post-punk, to hip hop, to "pop" music, the man can write a song in any genre he wants.

"Perfect Way" is still the best song ever written about picking up girls by introducing them to Marxist philosophy. (Really)

I find it interesting he listed Electronic, but not New Order...

John Nash [TotalFark] 2008-12-21 09:58:12 PM
Haha, EPMD. Awesome.

Third_Uncle_Eno 2008-12-22 12:16:41 AM
damn... i thought the headline said "Mick Ronson" at first...

LedZeppelin2301 2008-12-22 01:31:55 AM
If it said 'Mick Ronson' I'd actually probably give a shiat.

MikoSquiz 2008-12-22 06:20:44 AM
C'mon. Mick Ronson was an OK guitarist but he was no Mark Ronson.

(And yeah, he's Lindsay Lohan's girlfriend's brother.)

AgentOrangeDrink 2008-12-22 07:17:23 AM
He's got pretty good taste, but about 10 acts could be dropped in favour of Kraftwerk.

T.rex 2008-12-22 04:17:39 PM
i think its a pretty good list... This guy actually has talent, unlike his sister who is Lindsay Lohan's girlfriend.

I've got a killer remix he did of Air's Alpha Beta Gaga on my Ipod.

Satanic_Hamster 2008-12-22 06:48:24 PM
Note:
This is Mick Ronson's son.
