One of my neighbors called me in to the police because she saw me checking a loose basement door at 1 am while I was wearing my sidearm. She called in the generic 'man with gun' complaint. I live in an open carry state, so when the police found me in the front yard on my way home they just checked my drivers license and then told me goodnight. The lady who called actually waited till I was fifty feet down the street then yelled out her front door...."your just going to let him go?"

Its a shame you cant file a complaint for wrongful report on that kind of thing like you can on an accusation of rape or assault.
