Well it's about a girlfriend and not a boyfriend, so I'm gonna guess a Democrat.

Of course he's a Democrat.

One can assume this when it isn't specified. Like with suspects.... if it doesn't say a white guy.... well....

And, don't forget, the Daily News is owned by that radical, left-wing commie Mort Zuckerman.

But the most important detail was left out of the article!

What kind of beer?!?! I mean, we beer snobs need to be able to pass final judgment on this guy, and how can we tell what kind of character he has if we don't know what beer he drinks?

Lynn Vincent and Robert Stacy McCain wrote a whole book on the subject, Donkey Cons: Sex, Crime and Corruption in the Democratic Party. They listed every major criminal or ethics case involving members of the House and Senate, 1975-2005, and counted 46 Democrats to 15 Republicans in these scandals.

That is a ratio of 3.06 to 1.

call me crazy but I'm guessing Democrat.

Which will have to be judged by the people who think Fox is "fair and balanced," not by normal americans.

I thought the democratic party was supposed to wait a few weeks before collapsing in a pool of corruption. I mean it is there turn, but you would think they could wait a little while to actually take office.

Actually the Democratic Party may not take control of the NY State Senate. Or did you have this confused with the US Senate?

Um, you're all snapperheads.

New York is a one party state now. Shouldn't be that hard to figure out his affiliation.

Though he's one of the 4 members of their state senate who are not backing the Democratic choice for Senate Majority Leader, and are talking about going either I or R. And that's like this guy's first day of holding partisan office, so I think we'll see how long this guy stays a D.

As much as I hate to feed a known troll, I think the appropriate expression here is that you are entitled to your own opinion, you are not entitled to your own facts. The right-wing in this country has gone further and further down the path of willful ignorance to insulate themselves from the fact that the world as they wished it were, is not the world as it is.

That the media is biased in plainly obvious. However it is biased towards primarily anything that will drive ratings, and then secondly the agenda of its corporate owners. If the news reports reality that is different from the delusion that right-wingers try their best to live in, it does not make the media liberal.

America is not anymore the Wild West, nor Leave It To Beaver, and the South will NOT rise again. Get over it and step into the 21st century. You've got a lot of catching up to do.

danfrank: According to this (new window) he's also a veteran, so he's definitely not a Republican.

I was wondering how he could be a military and police vet, but he was in the USMCR. Fair enough. What a shame that he's a DV perp.

colon_pow: it doesnt matter which party he is in. unless he was a republican, then that would have been the first word of the article.

If nothing else, one has to admit that not seeing a (D) or (R) after a politician's name is really odd. They add them at completely meaningless times ("Senator Robert F. Kennedy (D-MA) has been shot") as well as meaningful ones ("Senator Lindsay Graham (R-SC) voted in favor of the bailout").

I'm not alleging any sort of c-o-n-spiracy, but it does seem odd.
