The only difference I see is that Bubba raises $ for good causes and Bush raises $ for Haliburton

Oh, wait...

So now donations to a global charity are held on par with donations to a presidential campaign? What?

Yea..It was evil Haliburton that hired those 19 Saudi hijackers for 9/11 on Bush's orders so he could get donations for Haliburton. I knew that.

Oh yeah, remember that Saudi Prince who the Clinton Family lovingly referred to as Bandar Clinton? Oh wait, that was the Bushes referring to him as Bandar Bush. My bad, so easy to get my whargarbls confused lately.

Is Slick Willy faultless here? Hell no. But is there a difference between accepting charitable contributions and having someone as a close family friend? YES.

thomps [TotalFark] 2008-12-18 12:19:02 PM
it's also worth noting that "nearly 90% of gifts (179,000 contributors) are valued at $250 or below, with 12,000 individuals contributing $10 or less."

$10 million is a massive donation, but it's not exactly like his foundation is living off of the saudi dime.

Not really...but on the bright side, come January 20 we won't have to worry about having a Bush or a Clinton in a position where a foreign power's monetary influence might be problematic eh?

Just ask Bubba Clinton

Just because he is from a rural area then I guess he isn't as good as those elitists Republicans that call him "Bubba". Since he's from a red state it's OK to look down on him. He's not as good as those latte swilling neocons from the big city.

Why does subby and the Republican party hate real Americans so much?

What else are they supposed to do? Their guy (and yes, if you voted for him, he IS your guy) is an unmitigated disaster and Obama isn't culpable yet. Give it six weeks, then it will be either "bb-bb-but Obama said he'd fix everything in 24 hours!" or "bb-bb-but obviously the Clintons are manipulating Obama!"

Bush was president when we said he was a saudi puppet. he still is a saudi puppet otherwise the federal government would probably have vast fleets of true hybrid vehicles.

/not hybrid like gm hybrid which means a battery back-up for the starter motor

Typical Republicans!! They only care about law and justice when it's against someone they don't like. Then, if you try to point out how it's important to stand up to injustice for America, the flag, and the Constitution, they just freak out and call you a crybaby.

That's because republicans think with their emotions and not with their heads. They have no ideas and so they resort to insults. They are so full of hate!!

I think that if they don't like our laws and our justice then they should just leave.

FTFA: The seven initiatives include: the Clinton HIV/AIDS Initiative, the Clinton Global Initiative, the Clinton Climate Initiative, the Clinton Hunter Development Initiative, the Clinton Giustra Sustainable Growth Initiative, the Clinton Economic Opportunity Initiative, and the Alliance for a Healthier Generation. The Foundation also funded the construction of the Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock, Arkansas, which was turned over to the people and government of the United States in November, 2004.

I googled it, and it's a not a typo, but it just sounds wrong.

China is practical and acts in its (somewhat-rational) self-interest. Not only can we deal with them, but if we do it right, there is no reason China has to be a natural enemy.

The Saudis, on the other hand, provide training, refuge, money and ideological support to thousands of wackjobs who have no problem with destroying billions of people in their goal to impose their worldview, even if it means they die along with us. You can't negotiate with someone whose goal is your destruction and is willing to destroy themselves in the process. Their goverment is at least tolerant of, if not outright complicit in, the support of those people. They hope to keep stringing us along by keeping the oil flowing and doing just enough to keep us from getting completely fed up with them.

I'll take China over the entire Middle East any day of the week.
