Or maybe it's all just some misunderstanding.

Man, guess he's In Too Deep this time. I guess he can't afford that Home By the Sea, so Tonight Tonight Tonight he'll just have to bask in the Afterglow of his musical/financial achievements, polish his statues, maybe get a second job... cuz It's Just a Job to Do.
No sense Throwing It All Away, or being a Squonk and crying yourself into a pool of tears.
Cuz As Sure as Eggs is Eggs, Aching Men's Feet need a rest, especially from all that dancing... even tho he Can't Dance. But what ever you do, Please Don't Ask him to Turn it On Again.

At first I hated the song, then, despite my usual complaints with the Collins family (shiatty, dated production, trite lyrics, all-too-literal videos), I sorted to kind of like the song itself.

But yeah, the video is absolutely terrible. Maybe it'll get more people to watch it, though.

InmanRoshi 2008-12-18 12:04:02 PM
Was that actually real footage of him crying in the video. For God's sakes, don't tell me he was actually crying in the video.

That was the gayest thing I've seen since Mr Gay rode into Gaytown on his big, gay horse.

Lou Stoolz 2008-12-18 12:21:33 PM
Sure that's not merely Phil Collins' clone?

I can dig it.

It sounds like Phil taking singing lessons from that dude from Goo Goo Dolls.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I just couldn't find a way to express it as eloquently as you.

I'm pretty sure if you're crying in your video, you're not going for the "rock out with your cock out" demographic.

Actually, I'm at a loss for what demographic he's striving for here.

Sounds like an overproduced Christian contemporary band.

Ohhh. That's the demographic then.

Do you like Simon Collins? I've been a big Collins fan ever since the release of his 2000 album, All of Who You Are. Before that, I really didn't understand any of his work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on All of Who You Are where Simon Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Unconditional is his undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding album. Christy, take off your robe.

He needs to spend less time at the buffet, and more time in the stu-stu-studio.

I have a friend who worked with Simon to do a new version of Genesis Keep It Dark, its actually very cool and proggy.

Came in hoping for pics of Phil's daughter Lilly.

Left disappointed.

The scenes wheres sitting introspectivley on a cliff with his arms spread singing and the ones where he's crying are my favorites

Whoa... he looks and sounds a lot like his dad. Poor guy.

It's no fun being Phil Collin's legal son.

This album actually SMOKES. Both Phil (drums) and Steve Hackett (guitar) play on it. Highly reccomended.

Seeing as the only Genesis song with a "Collins/Hackett" on it is the most excellent "Blood on the Rooftops", I think you might well be right.

Good call by Simon.

/i hope he's good as gold

It's not half bad. Still prefer the original, but the kid done good.
