Honestly and truly, every time I see someone wearing a "stop snitching" T-shirt, I want them dead. I feel horrible for saying it, but I do. They are what is wrong with the youth.

I'll wait until the evidence in the case comes out. Just because he informed in unrelated cases doesn't mean he's innocent here. I'm not assuming he's guilty without knowing what's on the tapes, but I'm not assuming he's innocent either. If he was trying to buy the Senate seat, it wouldn't be the first time someone corrupt informed on other corrupt people.

Interesting how the story on Obama has mutated from "Our staff has never talked to Blagojevich" to "Rahm made 21 calls to Blago".

It seems that Obama was the participant in a crime. If you participate in the planning of a bank robbery, but decline to participate in the bank robbery, then you are still guilty of a crime.

Jesse Jr trying to commit a crime with someone while being an informant is rather bizarre. Perhaps Jesse is being thrown to the wolves by the Obama camp to divert attention.

Obama hasn't been inaugurated yet, and already his administration is having more legal problems than the Bush administrations.

Yes, because his father has been so powerful for the last 20 years. The Democratic Party would be lost without him...

While I do dislike the people who have gotten me in trouble by talking to the authorities I don't see why you have to brand and commercialize it.

The Far Right has done its best to blow up every little thing into a scandal and to pin every bit of bad news on Obama. They've been on a nonstop outrage trip since he was elected. And now, despite all the spittle, we get to see exactly how inconsequential the Far Right has become. Sorry, but nobody's listening to you guys anymore:

I know you are a troll but you are referring to the Chicago version of the Daily Fail saying he "reportedly" had 21 conversations with Blagojavich. No newspaper should say reportedly if they didn't report it.

McCainDemocrat: It seems that Obama was the participant in a crime.

Then try to impeach him. That'll be a good way to squander whatever remaining clout you have in national governance. But you won't do that. You'll just keep spouting stupid insinuations with no proof, hoping enough repetitions of rhetoric will convince the stupid that there's something to what you're saying. Just like the "secret muslim" crap. And it only works on your base. The majority finds it disturbing and disgusting, and such attempts alienate them. It's a great way to further marginalize your own party.

If there is any true malfeasance going on, I will be one of the loudest voices calling for Obama's administration to be put on the spit. But you have no proof. Your linked "article" has an insinuation two sentences long. Provide some evidence. Otherwise you're just damaging your own compatriots' future chances.

Something doesn't add up. Either he hasn't been an informant "for at least a decade", or the 2003 incident didn't just spring to mind three years later.

He might be on the up-and-up, but few people become FBI informants of their own volition. The best way to have your shenanigans forgiven by the feds is to agree to start narcing on someone else. It worked for Whitey Bulger.

And I seriously doubt Obama had anything to do with this. He's smart enough to know that coming anywhere close to Blago and his pals in anything other than usual circumstances would doom his candidacy. A lot of people are trying to string together some very tenuous links, but it's merely speculation driven by sour grapes.

You do realize that it's not illegal to talk to someone about who you want to replace you in the senate and it happens in most cases. Not to mention, that the prosecutor already said Obama is innocent of wrongdoing and Blago admitted the Obama people wouldn't play ball and pay up. But, I'll let you continue with your cognitive dissonance. I suggest you just pretend Sarah Palin won on Nov. 4th.

PoopStain: In 2006, Jackson reported the incident, which he believed to have been an attempt at a shakedown, the sources said.

I'll go out on a limb and assume Jesse Jackson, Jr. had enough experience to know a shakedown when he saw one.

I'm still waiting for a backstory about the snitching, since I sincerely doubt there is any politician alive who would rat out another politician "for the good of the people". There had to be an added benefit.

I'd like to think JJ Jr. got hit up for a bribe and did the right thing and went to the feds. Maybe, just maybe he had the good judgment to see the situation for what it was and decided not to participate.

If not, then he gets what he deserves.
