Well, I'm a 43 year old punk who hates Green Day (well The Foxboro Hot Tubs, and the song they did with Iggy was cool), Fall Out Boy and Sum 41, and I bought Bollocks when it came out after having saw the Pistols on an installment of "In The News" between cartoons one Saturday morning when I was 12, I'm kind of looking forward to a new album. I'd rather hear a new PiL album though.

They made one terrific album and broke up. Should have stayed broken up. Hell, their legacy would be secure if they had died young, but the only "band member" to die never played on said album.

/A lot of music from 1977 has aged, but not Bollocks. An intense, vital piece of work.

Oh god no. I loved (and still do) the raw energy of Bollocks, but it's more appreciable as a cultural force than a stand-alone work of, erm, art.

Also, the Sex Pistols were actually a boy band. What? Let's see...some guy McLaren, an entrepreneur, puts together a bunch of guys who can't play particularly well, 'rehearses' them, and takes the world by storm. What, because it's 'punk' it's not the same?

I'm coming to the conclusion that any thread in Fark Music will have 90% of posts declaring 'This band sucks'. Except for Zappa threads, those only end up about 50-50.

I'd love to see a Fark equivalent of Rotten Tomatos, for music. No album would ever get above 20%.
