I haven't read the article but I'm assuming the "SNL writers" in question are Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone of Lonely Island, in which case it will probably be a pretty funny album given how good they are with lyrics and arrangement.

Yeah! You have to be ultra-proficient at your instrument to make good music. I'd rather listen to some awesome Yngwie Malmsteen or Steve Vai than some shiatty chord strummers like the Clash!

Please, don't have an engina attack. I find it hard to believe some people are jealous of rockstars just because they might not play the most complicated music. Look at history there have always been decent rock bands who aren't "complex" but who cares. Simple can be good, and simple can be bad. The Strokes are pretty good, not great, not amazing, but they put on a fun live show.

P.S. The E key is not right next to the A key so how do you describe being so stupid that you cannot spell the word "entire"? I'm not grammar nazi, but that proves you are an idiot in which case I understand why the Strokes would be high up on the list of your least favorite bands.

Ummm.... since when are the Strokes bad? If I'm not mistaken, "Reptilia" is a pretty kick-ass song. And "Juicebox" is sweet as well.

The Lonely Island guys (and their Digital Shorts) are the best thing to happen to SNL in years. Plus, add the fact that Akiva Shafer has already directed videos for We Are Scientists and Eagles Of Death Metal (as well as creating multiple hilarious songs/videos for the TLI website) means that this will be major win.

I plan to buy this album in February as soon as it comes out. If "Jizz In My Pants" is any indication, this album will rawk. Hopefully, it'll be new material, and not just a rehash of stuff they've already released on SNL and their own website.

Well it looks like they'll sell one.

AC/DC are not complicated and they rule. The Strokes are a bunch of illiterate scenester trust fund babies incapable of playing or writing anything resembling music.
