I really hope it's not mixed by Steve Fitzmaurice this time - I thought the mixing of Playing the Angel was pretty ordinary... especially when you consider Violator is a benchmark recording.

Had some good songs, although when Gahan writes, the lyrics leave a little bit to be desired on the subtle front :-)

As far as the Subby is concerned, Depeche is more than a group of Synth Puppets. They're a Monument to electronic music, and yes - they DO use guitars...a lot. (Sometimes I think they have gotten TOO far away from their SynthPop roots. Is There Soemthing to Do?)
