It's not like he hasn't been identified much by the Repubs in recent months.

Seriously? A Democrat was running as the Republican candidate for the last year plus? And Ron Paul lost... how?

RON PAUL isn't in the constitution.

Partisanship acts as a protection mechanism. If this was a GOP Governor selling a Senate seat the Democrats would be sticking it to the Republicans all the way up to Bush, and rightly so.

The opposite of partisanship is totalitarianism.

McCain is usually at his best when he's taking on the far right farktards in the GOP. Sadly, we say very little of it this past campaign.

Shvetz 2008-12-14 04:24:45 PM
Well, it's not like the GOP started harping on McCain first... He owes absolutely nothing to the GOP at this point.

Click on the link, idiot. The first line of TFA is "Sen. John McCain, D-Ariz." Subby is quoting a typo in TFA. I wish I didn't have to explain things to you.

Try reading the linked articles once in awhile...the quotations marks in the headline actually mean something.

The related article is funny. He refuses to endorse Sarah Palin in 2012: "Have no doubt of my admiration and respect for her and her viability," McCain said, "but at this stage my corpse is still warm!"

================

He showed up at the concession speech. He's been nothing but peaches and roses since he lost.

If he had been like this during the campaign he could've won.

Twocats 2008-12-14 04:27:43 PM
He's a maverick, he's gettin' all mavericky in preperation for the next election...

Zombie McCain will be all that stands between us and Palin in 2012...

He would endorse her, but he is disappointed by the lack of braaaaaiiins...

Sometimes it was about that. But the sad truth of McCain's campaign is that it never really could figure out what it was about. He was sunk by, among other things, a perpetual failure to self-define in a convincing and lasting fashion. McCain didn't own his own narrative, and he has no one to blame for that except himself.

StampedingElephant 2008-12-14 04:31:01 PM

RamblingKey 2008-12-14 04:33:38 PM
Someone explain why McCain shouldn't switch party affiliation. can anyone justify McCain's further objectives in continuing to caucus with the Republicans?

McCain is putting out two messages this weekend:
1. McCain will not support Sarah Palin's carrer any further.
2. The President-Elect is now off limits for the MSM to commentate or investigate his direct multitudinous alliances to the corrupt Chicago Democrat machinery.

Do we live in a Republic? Do we live in a Democracy? Or do we live in a country where a senile Senator who sells alcohol to Native Americans gets to dictate acceptable public discourse?

/where is McCain's support of Fitz this time, McCain went out of his way to support Fitz during the Scooter Libby circus.
