That's a pretty nice kitchen.

My favorite part of that ad is, it's trying to show them as an 'ordinary family doing ordinary things'.
Except, the frigging wife isn't even there. She's been filmed somewhere else (LA maybe?) and been superimposed (greenscreened?) into the picture to make it look like she's in the $400,000 kitchen with Norm.
You can't completely tell until 0:16 into the video.
Personally I don't care that his wife doesn't even live in the state most of the time. It's just that they feel they have to lie about it for image.

Perfect fake political family image for the plastic slimy politician.

/even worse was the ad he came out with after the allegations
//at least they actually brought the wife in to film her that time, though

I love how obviously fake it is...yet they try to make it seem real by showing a coffee mug in her hands that matches his AND having them talk to each other.

HAHAHA SHE MAKES HIM TAKE OUT THE TRASH TOO! I'D LIKE TO HAVE A BEER WITH HIM.

Looks like a case of "If you want me to keep sending you checks, you need to appear with mein a commercial for my campaign," and her counteroffer was "I'll be in a commercial with you...but I will not be in the same room with you and your creepy smile, you philandering asshole."

We weren't actually supposed to think they were in the same room, were we? I think we're meant to read her as being superimposed on video of Norm-in-his-kitchen; that gives her a more independent (and intimate) relationship with us, the viewers, and diminishes our doubts that she's just saying what he would want to hear.

Then we're meant to read that "hey honey" bit as a kind of joke "whoah, they just broke the frame!" Only...instead it makes it look as if she's meant to be in the kitchen, and standing in the middle of the island.

Boy, did I just overthink the crap out of that.

Your joke reminded me of something.

So I was in Vegas with some friends once. My buddies Eric and Matt shared a room. One morning while getting breakfast with them this conversation occurred:

Eric: "I had this weird dream I was playing the slot machines all night."

Matt: "That's funny, this morning I woke up with a sore dick and an ass full of quarters."

I dont see whats so special about the colemans spending $414k renovating, its most likely in an equity loan, which is another way of saying he can afford $2000 a month. the aristocrats....
