How about instead of letting other threads flow into this one (as to arguments on how Obama was in no way connected to the Illinois Gov), this thread focus on the NY assemblyman and his corruption.

You have to wonder how much a Senate seat is actually worth on the market. I'm sure President would fetch a couple hundred million, and a Congressional seat a few hundred thousand (depending on the district)... hrm.

Seminerio's loads of fun. An old school goombah from Queens. Falls asleep during state of the state speeches all the time. Dirty as hell, but nobody could pin anything on him until another crooked assemblyman gave him up.

So that's something like five-ten percent of the NY assembly under indictment at any given time.

BTW, I could understand nodding out when it was Pataki talking, but Seminerio would nod out during Mario Cuomo's speeches too.
