The dangers of marijuana include:

-Increased appetite
-Ability to cope with cancer and debilitating diseases
-The ability of fingers to touch everything... but themselves
-Causes fingers to fing
-Retarded comments on the internet
-Uncontrollable laughter

it's not surprising, the fed cut the interest rate on most drugs because of the recession

Maybe if we denied them an education completely they'd be stupid enough to fall for "the evils of marijuana" gag.

I'm glad to hear that teens are getting smart and limiting themselves to nice, "safe," taxable drugs like caffeine and nicotine.

Don't smoke pot, kids, but have all the Redbull and Camels you can afford. Your tax dollars are needed so we can bailout all the rich people.

If there's one thing that the Bush administration is any good at, it's convincing people of things that they can't substantiate.

Second comment WIN.

Seriously, as soon as someone tells me what exactly the dangers of marijuana are (beyond the dangers of smoking in general), I'll stop believing it should be legalized.

One of the most serious dangers of smoking marijuana (or "Mary Jane" as the kids call it) is a fixation on Wolf Blitzer.

Unfortunately all those years of drug usury are going to require a bailout of the illegal drug market from the government. The tweek-head on the corner who goes by "tron" is going to need at least $7 Billion or most of the the high school and college students in the area will lose their primary source of income including a disproportionate number of minorities. The resulting depression could destroy the entire Earth and a substantial portion of Mars.

glenlivid 2008-12-11 01:27:51 PM
Of course drug addiction/use is on the decline: He's almost out of office. Now young people can have a little hope instead of having a war-crazed, lying, stealing, Armageddon wanting, economy destroying, f*cked-in-the-head administration in the White House.

Nah, the country is so farked up right now that the intoxicant market is booming! It's a major growth industry. Invest accordingly.

B-b-b-b-but if it gets legalized, it could be taxed, and usage will be cut down, which means we may be getting money, but not as much as druggies posting bail $200k at a time!

Your economics is probably incorrect. Legalization will up the supply, market will be flooded, prices will drop.

32.4 percent of 12th-graders reported using marijuana over the past year.

To anyone with common sense, this would be a sign that:

(a) Smoking pot isn't that harmful.
(b) Teenagers like smoking pot

Unfortunately, I'm betting Obama has no common sense.

Damn You! You are messing with my youthful memories. Now we gotta get Wolfie to sing for The Dead(tm) this summer. God knows it would be much better than that Joan Osbourne biath. (if god was one of us he would kill her, I have no doubt)

On an article related note. I work at a university and I believe that the numbers would be down. These kids don't do "drugs", as they are bad. Thus, I can't score a good bag of grass at a reasonable price. Though, these non-drug doin' kids can hook me up with some top notch Pharmies, even the Oxy and such. Its a good thing they aren't into drugs.

How would one do that? Would not documentation only be in the form of a conformation that he had done coke.

Would you demand to include documentation that he was never a wife-beater?

Not saying that I don't think Bush was a blow-monkey, pretty sure he was.

Don't get all "well what about your guy?" with trolls. It, it, feeds them. Just address their BS as such and put the argument down or just put them on ignore.

I did not read the whole article but it looks like they are only arguing overall drug usage, which means that is people using LSD and Ketamine dropped significantly they could easily inflate these numbers to make it look like the number of teens smoking pot has dropped. I highly doubt those numbers have dropped.
