Me on Illinois Governor: Whaddadick.

Occam's Chainsaw [TotalFark] 2008-12-11 10:28:42 AM
So will Bagodicks be impeached first, or will he be declared unfit to serve?

DamnYankees [TotalFark] 2008-12-11 10:36:16 AM
I love this whackjob. It's now a contest between Palin and Blago for most entertaining governor.

Diogenes [TotalFark] 2008-12-11 10:40:56 AM
I hope he gets to share a cell with Jim Trafficant. Although that much concentrated stupid, megalomaniacal evil might be dangerous.

azmoviez [TotalFark] 2008-12-11 10:44:10 AM
Why do I get images Scarface when I think about his last moments in the Governor's mansion?

IndyMBA [TotalFark] 2008-12-11 10:46:12 AM
Diogenes: I hope he gets to share a cell with Jim Trafficant.

Traficant's Congressional expulsion hearings were comedy gold; one of the few times that CSPAN was actually entertaining!

I can only hope for something as good with Blago!

Snarfangel [TotalFark] 2008-12-11 10:48:57 AM
Jackson said he had been assured by prosecutors he was not a target of the investigation, and he emphatically said he had not engaged ``whatsoever in any wrongdoing.'

"And by no wrongdoing whatsoever, I mean a bit. A bit. Practically nothing, really, but it it is somewhat inexact to claim none at all. So let's just say a fair amount of wrongdoing, that mistakes were made, and move on."

bobbette [TotalFark] 2008-12-11 10:51:28 AM
He's going to try to amass as much cash as he can before he gets impeached.

Someone count the silverware in the governor's mansion he doesn't actually live in.

Blago's got the big hair. But he's going to have to muss it up if he wants to compete with Trafficant's appearance. On teh crazy corruptness, as it currently stands, I'd say it's a draw.

keylock71 2008-12-11 11:28:34 AM
He's quite the arrogant prick, no?

Wasn't really familiar with this clown until a few days ago, but, I must say, it will be enjoyable watching him go down in flames...

His attorney said Tuesday that he is innocent, and a resignation might make him appear guilty.

LOLWUT?

OMG not going to resign? Part of his secret agreement or whut lululuzlulzulz!

A Chicago politician should resign because he's corrupt?

Damn, we all thought Obama was a centrist leaning slightly socialist, but here he is advocating complete anarchy.

//I'm actually not sure to what extent I'm joking myself.

fosborb 2008-12-11 11:51:20 AM
Oh please, please, please try to appoint yourself to Obama's Senate seat, you crazy bastard.

Sorry, I guess I should technically say Illinois politician. Snark stands, though.

Not for long, assclown. Nice piece, by the way. That smarmy little eyes-too-close-together face just screams dbag.

eddiesocket 2008-12-11 11:53:44 AM
This guy is unbelievable. I feel sorry for his spokesperson Kelly Quinn. This woman actually had to say it was "business as usual" with a straight face. Plus, "at the end of the day, the top priority for our office is to serve the people, and we have not lost sight of that, nor will we lose sight of that". Yes dear, how noble and brave is our man Blago, looking out for the people.

fosborb: Oh please, please, please try to appoint yourself to Obama's Senate seat, you crazy bastard.

You know, he just might. Is there anyone else who would accept a nomination from this man? It would be political suicide.

The judge that set his bond so low needs to be disbarred.

Why not? He'll be at home amongst his fellow liars, crooks and perverts!

1derful: The judge that set his bond so low needs to be disbarred.

Bail is not meant to be punitive. It is meant to insure the person will be available for trial.

The guy is a total asshat but I don't see the point in using jail space for someone that isn't a flight risk or a violent offender.

Yeah, but it would make a perfect end-of-summer screwball comedy movie.

Yeah, it's almost like the durty libruls can actually see when there's actual corruption within their own party and actually want to oust it out of power...wouldn't that be great if EVERY PARTY thought like that?

As a guy from a Chicago and and a former co-worker of one of the douchebags who show up on the tapes, even I had no idea how EVIL this scumbag is.

He threatened to hold up an $8 million grant for Doctors who provide specialized care for children, if he did not get his bribe.

By the way, the FBI was at his General counsel's house tuesday.

Paradevil 2008-12-11 12:01:24 PM
Is there anyone else actively rooting for this guy to appoint himself to the Senate?

I really want him to go down swinging and watch the fireworks that would cause.

vernonFL [TotalFark] 2008-12-11 12:03:00 PM
Seriously, how can he govern effectively? Would anyone even take his phone calls?

Dammit-Hi 2008-12-11 12:11:07 PM
I'm damned ashamed of voting for this guy twice (in two elections not one).

That's it, since Rod is corrupt all Liberals must be as well. I'm switching sides.

My conservative shopping list:
A Benzie or to a lesser extent a BMW
Trophy wife
Subscription to The New Rebulic
Guns baby, big'uns!
Painting of Emperor Regan for mantle
Larry the Cable Guy DVD box set
Professor Limbaugh's latest thought provoking book
Anonymous gay sex (maybe sprinkle in a little meth)

...lots to do.

Suddenly I find myself asking, "How is this Blagojevich scandal poor peoples' fault?"

Would it be considered extortion at this point for him to tell someone, "give me $1,000,000 or I'll appoint you to the Senate"?

sorry, old rod never bothered to pick the door keys up for his springfield governors mansion. heck, i've been to the gov's mansion almost as much as him. (went there for a x-mas party)

I want to point out that none of the popular liberal talk shows mentioned he was a democrat. However, those same talk shows will use the republican party as a whole if anything scandalous comes down from the right side.

Honestly this was a long time coming, Illinios is probably a top 5 corrupt state. I think it has something like 50% or higher rate on electing state officials who were either slimeballs or got convicted of something major in the last 30 years. I wish we could do this in Wisconsin, Doyle and his whole slimeball crew need to go.

Paradevil: Is there anyone else actively rooting for this guy to appoint himself to the Senate?

I would do that stat just to mess with people. I'd use the excuse that their is a perception that any appointment made would be tainted and holding a special election is too costly to the IL taxpayers in these troubled economic times. Either that or I'd appoint his wife, Patty. Then she can fly from Chicago to D.C. on a private jet like Blago did from Chicago to Springfield.

You watch them all? Kinda like Palin reads them all?

He actually showed up at work at the Illinois Center.

Usually he does not because he does not want to be accused of using State property while commiting all of his crimes.

This is 100% true.

I disagree. The only chance she has at all is to quit today and write an open letter to Blago, declaring her disgust. Everyone on his staff should do that, especially the ones who aren't guilty of anything. This should get in front of this.

Actually, best for illinois was 3rd on his list of priorities in the criminal complaint (yes, he enumerated his priorities over the phone).

In order of priority for governor actions
1. Blago's legal situation
2. Blago's personal financial situation
3. Good for state of Illinois.

As an Illinoisan, I'd like to thank all of you for finally seeing what we have been putting up with for the past few years. Although it has brought unity like no other politician in history. Everybody hates his guts. I personally know one of the top democratic state senators, and even they hate his guts.

As a southern Illinoisan, it is a party atmosphere down here. Every paper has had pictures of him in custody. You can walk up to anyone, and you instantly have something in common.

Maybe that's why some people didn't think that Palin was that bad, they've dealt with worse.

/All I want for Christmas is Rod & Ryan sharing a cell.

Just wanted to note that the second or third sentence of the article does mention that the prick of a guv is in fact a democrat.
