the first album is still their best

1st album = fantastic
2nd album = not so much

"silent alarm" was and still is fantastic. "a weekend in the city" had some dull moments, but also has one of their best songs ("i still remember"). "intimacy" has moments that are just unlistenable. kele might like it, but i sure don't.

I liked Weekend better than anything else they've done

I like the Burial remix of "Home" and "Flux" does rock. Everything else is not my thing.

I like it all, but on this new album it's like they said "well I don't want to be in Bloc Party any more. I want to be in Daft Punk"

Not a fan of their previous albums. A good friend made me listen to the new one and it's very good. Highly recommended.

I work at a used bookstore. I see a lot of really terrible titles come in. Last week I got a book called "It's FAVRE, not FARVE," a very serious and angry rant about how an alien conspiracy is making people pronounce Brett Favre's name wrong.

I wish people would get over Silent Alarm. Yes, it's a great album, but you can't have it both ways.

The Strokes made a copy of Is This It with their second album Room on Fire and everybody bashed them for not progressing. I have a sneaking suspicion that it's the same people who biatch and moan at Bloc Party for trying different things.

AWITC and Intimacy both suck. I don't even believe it is the same band that recorderd them they are so inferior.

I like all 3 albums. AWITC a little less so, but it's grown on me. Saw them live this fall when they played the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival here (Yeah, I don't get it either). Awesome show, really made me appreciate some of their older songs.
